🥳 Celebrate You! Get a FREE Disneyland Paris Birthday Badge and a Sprinkle of Pixie Dust
Did you know that Disneyland Paris has its very own birthday on 12th of April? And as it happens, mine’s coming up in April, too (cake and Minnie ears at the ready!). So what better time to share a little Disney birthday tip that’s completely free, often overlooked, and guaranteed to make your day feel even more special?
Whether you’re planning a big birthday bash in the parks or just want a small keepsake to mark the occasion, here’s everything you need to know about the Disneyland Paris birthday badge—plus a few lovely surprises that might make your trip extra joyful.

What Is the Disneyland Paris Birthday Badge?
It’s a cheerful little button badge that says ‘Happy Birthday’, featuring Mickey Mouse looking positively delighted about your special day (as he should be!). It’s a sweet memento to wear proudly, and it might even get you a birthday shout-out or two from Cast Members.
At the moment, the Disneyland Paris birthday badge is the only official celebration badge available for free in the parks.
Where to Get a Birthday Badge at Disneyland Paris
You’ll need to visit one of the Guest Services locations in the parks:
- City Hall in Disneyland Park (on your left as you enter)
- Studio Services in Walt Disney Studios Park (on the right after you go in)
Simply head to the desk and ask for your Disneyland Paris birthday badge. They’re usually happy to help—but don’t forget to bring proof!

What You’ll Need
To receive a birthday badge, you’ll need to show official ID (like a passport or driving licence) proving that your birthday is:
- Today
- Within the past 30 days, or
- Coming up in the next 30 days
If you’re travelling near your birthday, it’s still worth asking for that Disneyland Paris birthday badge!

What About First Visit Badges?
This one’s a bit trickier. First Visit badges aren’t officially available at Guest Services right now—but there’s a twist!
A few guests have reported receiving them thanks to a little Disney magic. A small number of Cast Members—mostly those tidying trays
Hotel-Only Badges and Seasonal Surprises
Sometimes, Disney hotels offer their own exclusive badges—especially during festivals like Halloween and Christmas. These are usually themed and only available to guests staying at that hotel. Quantities are very limited and tend to disappear quickly, but it’s another little example of Disneyland Paris-style Pixie Dust.

✨ What Is Pixie Dust at Disneyland Paris? ✨
In the American Disney parks, Pixie Dust often means things like surprise balloons or snacks—but at Disneyland Paris, it’s usually a bit more subtle and situational.
Here, Pixie Dust might look like:
- A small gift left in your hotel room
- An extra Premier Access OnePass from Guest Services if your day didn’t go to plan
- A surprise badge or sticker sheet for kids
It’s not something you can ask for—it usually happens when something’s gone wrong, or when a Cast Member spots a chance to brighten someone’s day. Unexpected, rare, and absolutely lovely when it happens.

Can You Bring Your Own Pixie Dust?
Yes—and honestly, I’m a huge fan of this!
Magic is often what you bring to it, and you can absolutely be the Pixie Dust for someone else. Here are a few easy and thoughtful ideas:
- Glow sticks or glow bracelets – I like handing these out to kids during the fireworks. It’s such a joyful moment and they barely cost anything.
- Mini chocolate bars or mini Haribos – A sweet treat for other guests (or even Cast Members!) can be a day-brightener. I brought Stitch chocolates and he had a grand time running off with them – and my backpack! (see photo above)
- Stickers or tiny trinkets – Think small charms, cute keyrings, or little Disney-themed tokens.
These kinds of surprises don’t just make their day better—they’ll fill your heart up too. Trust me.
Want a Personalised Badge?
If you’d like something a bit more custom (or you’re celebrating something besides a birthday), Etsy has loads of cute options you can wear during your trip. Here are a few I recommend:
A personalised alternative to the Disneyland Paris birthday badge is a great idea if you’re planning ahead or celebrating something extra special.
