This year, you get to pick your countdown. Both parks are hosting their own New Year’s Eve party, which leaves you with one very important decision: the castle or World of Frozen?
Disney hasn’t shared the full NYE schedule yet (they like to keep us waiting until the last minute), so this post covers everything announced so far and what happened on a last year’s New Year’s Eve, so you can start planning your night now.
What’s New for Disneyland Paris NYE? A Tale of Two Parks
Disney Adventure World: drones and fireworks over Adventure Bay and Arendelle
Over at Disney Adventure World, the party spreads across every world in the park before the night ends with drones and fireworks. It’s the park’s first New Year’s Eve since World of Frozen opened in March.
Disneyland Park: the classic countdown
Over in Disneyland Park, expect Disney characters, DJ parties and a midnight fireworks display above Sleeping Beauty Castle. This is the traditional countdown, with the castle as your backdrop.
What this means for you
It will still be busy. Splitting the celebrations across two parks should give everyone a little more room and more choice when planning the evening. Before you pick your favourite New Year’s Eve show, check you have the right ticket for that park.

🤔 Why Is There No Full Schedule Yet?
Disney usually shares the detailed New Year’s Eve schedule just a few days beforehand. Timings, DJ locations, late-opening attractions and the special merchandise all tend to land at once, often during Christmas week.

While we wait, here’s how a recent New Year’s Eve worked in Disneyland Park, from the celebrations welcoming 2025. The 2026 line-up will be different, but it gives you a good idea of the shape of the night.

The double DJ party
The last NYE schedule had two dance parties running side by side. Stitch’s DJ Party was in front of Starport in Discoveryland, with Stitch and Angel, dancers and special effects. Goofy’s Countr’Eve Party was at Frontierland Critter Corral, in front of Frontierland Theater, with Goofy leading a line-dancing session (who knew he had the moves?).
This year they’re adding NYE parties across the Disney Adventure worlds, which I am very excited to hear more details about.
Late-night rides and keepsakes
Some attractions stayed open last year until 1am, with times shown in the Disneyland Paris app. The collector souvenirs were sold in New Century Notions – Flora’s Unique Boutique, World of Disney and Sir Mickey’s Boutique.
Castle or Arendelle? Choosing Your Park
Until the full schedules are out, here’s how I’d think about it.
Choose Disneyland Park if:
- You want the traditional countdown with the castle as your backdrop.
- DJ parties and character spotting sound like your kind of night.
- It’s your first Disneyland Paris NYE and you want the classic experience.
Choose Disney Adventure World if:
- You’re a Frozen fan, or you want to see something that’s never happened before.
- Drones plus fireworks is the combination you’re most curious about.
- You like the sound of parties in the different worlds (I’m thinking it could be DJs and characters like the main park)
My pick for most first-timers: Disneyland Park, for the classic midnight fireworks above the castle. If you’ve done a Disneyland Park NYE before, this is the year to try Disney Adventure World.
Tips for Surviving (and Loving) New Year’s Eve
Four things that’ll save you money or mild embarrassment:

Have a rest in the afternoon.
It’s a very late night, so a hotel break pays off at 11:55pm.

Book dinner early.
Table service restaurants have special prices on New Year’s Eve and need booking in advance. Last season, meal vouchers couldn’t be used on 31 December
03.
Claim your midnight fireworks spot early.
Wrap up warm and settle in at least an hour before if you want to have a good view.
04.
Dress for a cold night.
Layers, gloves and a hat, plus a poncho in case it rains. My winter packing guide has everything.

Plan your exit.
Decide in advance how you’ll get back to your hotel once everyone leaves at the same time.
06.
Check the app on the day.
Timings will pop up later, and the app is where they will be confirmed on December 31st.
