Ever wanted to wake up on Christmas morning and say, I’m going to Disneyland? YES. YES YOU CAN.
Disneyland Paris is open on Christmas Day, as well as Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. And all the days in between.

5. Is Disneyland Paris Decorated for Christmas?
You might be wondering with all the theming in the parks like the Wild West in Frontierland, superhero headquarters in Marvel Avengers Campus and Buzz Lightyear and friends in Toy Story Land, will there be any actual Christmas decorations?
Yes, there is!
Disneyland Paris limits its Christmas seasonal decorations to these 8 areas:
- The entrance to the main park
- Town Square and around the beautiful gazebo. You will even see a 78-foot Christmas tree!
- Throughout Main Street USA, including the garlands overhead.
- Walt Disney Studios, you will see that Disney Studio 1 is lit in vibrant kitsch Christmas lights and ornamental garlands.
- Walt Disney Studios. Visit Place de Remy for seasonal decorations.
- Shops and restaurants throughout both parks
- At the Disney hotels. The best decorations are at Sequoia Lodge and Hotel New York: Art of Marvel.
- Throughout Disney Village

6. What is Paris Like in December?
Paris weather in December is fairly similar to London. It can vary from being mild winter to being covered in freezing snow!
Temperatures are typically a high of around 8°C and a low of 4°C. Be prepared for the frequent wet days and also for feeling very dry – windy winter weather really savages hands and lips.

7. What are the Must-Dos for Christmas at Disneyland Paris?
The theme for this festive season at Disneyland Paris is Disney Enchanted Christmas.
The seasonal program promises lots of entertainment, music, characters and magical moments.
Entertainment at Disneyland Paris Christmas
You can trust Disney to throw on world-class entertainment all year long – and the holidays are where they really shine!
The Parade
Twice daily, you can head to Town Square, Main Street USA or the area at the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for ‘Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade.’
✏️ PRO TIP: For a good view of the characters, position yourself in the centre of the four stages before the parade begins.
The parade features glowing floats and a cast of whimsical performers, including feathery butterfly girls on wheels (yes, really!) and iridescent snowflake dancers.
The main mouse, Mickey, delights with an impressive entrance on a giant Christmas steam train. He’s dressed in red and green with a sparkling Christmas tree top hat.

The final float is the man with the power to grant all your Christmas wishes – Santa! He rides atop a massive sledge pulled by 3 rocking reindeer. At the back is perched petite Tinkerbell, sprinkling pixie dust in her special winter outfit, too.

Music Entertainment
Join Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and friends for ‘Let’s Sing Christmas’ at the Videopolis Theatre, Discoveryland.
This is a unique and emotional performance with choir singers adding that special Disney magic to your favourite Christmas Carols.
The highlight for me is Minnie in her gorgeous fur coat singing ‘All I want for Christmas is you (Mickey).’ Ahhh…

Fireworks
If you’ve seen even one fireworks show in any Disney park, you know they go ALL OUT.
Last year we were treated to ‘Disney Dreams Christmas’ – a show that made my heart swell (I challenge anyone to leave with dry eyes!)
This year’s fireworks show hasn’t yet been announced, but keep an eye on my socials or join my VIP Club to be notified by email.

Unique Christmas Experiences
Two unique Christmas experiences at Disneyland Paris are the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony and a special meet and greet with Santa.
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
In Town Square, there is a 78-foot-tall Christmas tree.
After dusk falls, you can catch the parade at the top of Main Street and join Minnie Mouse and Santa Claus as they light up the tree in exuberant colours. The parade also finishes here and it’s a laugh-filled character bonanza!
Meet Santa
Guests of Disneyland Paris are invited to stop in and visit Santa Claus in the days leading up to Christmas.
Santa is in his Control Room at Arcade Beta, Videopolis in Discoveryland, waiting to hear whether you have been naughty or nice this year.

Christmas Character Meets
I am a character nut through and through, and Christmas time is a special treat for fans! Many of the characters have specific festive outfits.
In Disneyland Paris Christmas season, the special characters you can meet are:
- Santa Stitch
- Santa Goofy
- Chip and Dale in fancy waistcoats
- Minnie in her festive Hollywood glam
- Sandy Cluse (Jack Skellington)
- Winnie the Pooh in a red hat
- Donald Duck in a red jacket
- Daisy Duck in a red dress and red bow
- Disney Princesses in the Pavilion

Christmas Food
What’s Christmas without the delicious food? While Disney hasn’t yet announced all the specifics on their seasonal menu, you can bet it will include Mickey-shaped cookies, raclette melting cheese at Sequoia Lodge (my favourite!), festive cocktails and adorable cake pops.
Don’t forget to stop by the L’Hiver Gourmand Christmas Food Market in Walt Disney Studios for spiced wine, hot chocolate, crepes, gingerbread and other delectable foods.
✏️ PRO TIP: Whether you are planning a sit-down or a quick service meal you can expect to see crowds. Try to eat at off-peak times to minimise your wait. ➡️ Check out how to get the most popular reservations with DLP Tables.
• Table Service Options
Disney restaurants with table service (including buffets) have special prices on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will require advance booking. You can check the Disneyland Paris app for all the prices. Festive dishes will be added to the classic buffet on those special dates.
All other days (including Christmas Day) have a standard menu.
🤓 GOOD TO KNOW: You cannot use Disneyland Paris meal vouchers on the 24th or 31st of December.
• Quick-Service Food and Snacks in the Parks
All quick service counters will have the same menu throughout the Christmas period.
You can find all the menus and prices on the Disneyland Paris app.
Disneyland Paris has promised tantalising seasonal treats, but we are still waiting to see what those might be. I will keep you updated nearer the time.
