The Only Disneyland Paris Kids Packing List You’ll Ever Need (Trust Me, I’ve Tried It All)

There’s no such thing as the ‘perfect age’ for Disneyland Paris. Whether your little one is toddling around in light-up trainers or finally tall enough to brave Big Thunder Mountain, any age is the best age when you’re stepping into a world of Disney dreams (minus the tantrums, we hope).

But, let’s be honest (no wait, scratch that—you know I’m always honest!), packing for Disneyland Paris with kids can be a bit of a puzzle. Do you really need the buggy? What happens if it rains? And will anyone eat the snacks you brought, or are you destined to fork out €9 for a Mickey-shaped beignet at 10 AM?

I’ve been to the parks more times than I can count (and with two boys in tow, no less), and I think I can save you a lot of stress. Steal my ultimate Disneyland Paris kids packing list—a lovingly curated list of essentials, clever extras, and parent-approved hacks that will make your trip 10x smoother. Whether you’re visiting with a baby, toddler, or energetic under-12, this is the guide you didn’t know you needed—but will be so glad you found!

Buggy, Pushchair or Stroller? Yes, Yes, and Yes

If your child can fit in a stroller, take the stroller. Disneyland Paris is not the place for testing endurance. We’re talking 20,000+ steps a day, long queues, and possibly blazing sun or sideways rain. A buggy means on-the-go naps, a stash spot for snacks, and—most importantly—fewer meltdowns (and that’s just from Dad…).

Top tips:

  • Clip on a buggy organiser for snacks, wipes and your phone (trust me, digging through a backpack while wrangling toddlers is no one’s idea of fun).
  • Make a laminated sign with your family name so no one mistakes your buggy for theirs. Secure it with cable ties (and cute Disney stickers if you’re a bit extra like me).
  • If you want total peace of mine, add a bike lock (loop through the back wheels) when you need to park it. Not really necessary, but might save you worrying so you can enjoy yourself more.

🤓 GOOD TO KNOW: DISNEYLAND PARIS RENTAL STROLLERS

For around €30 a day, you can borrow a Disneyland Paris stroller (pictured above) from the entrance at both parks. It doesn’t fold down for naps, but it works in a pinch.

And with a €75 deposit, you can hop between the parks and back to your hotel with it. Just remember to keep your receipt to get the deposit back!

Weather-Ready Packing for Kids at Disneyland Paris

Paris is a weather chameleon. Sun, showers, sudden chill? It’s all on the table. Here’s what to take to Disneyland Paris with kids for every season:

☔ Rain

🥶 Cold

  • Along with a comfortable jacket, don’t forget to pack a woolly hat and mittens.
  • Hand warmers (Tip: activate them during breakfast and pop them in coat pockets)

A selection of snacks to pack when visiting Disneyland Paris with kids. Includes crisps, fruit bars, Freddos and peanut butter
These are the snacks we take when driving to Disneyland Paris from London. (Note: The carrots, and apples are only for the journey to the Eurotunnel as they can’t be brought across the border to France.)

Snacks and Drinks = Sanity Savers

Even the most magical queue can stretch a child’s patience (not to mention mine!). So, here’s how we snack smart at Disneyland Paris—starting with breakfast options you can pack or prep before you head to the parks.

Breakfast Back-up

Snack Winners

  • Fruit bars and cereal bars (like Soreen, Go Ahead, Alpen or Nature’s Valley)
  • Individually wrapped packs of biscuits (jammy dodgers, chocolate digestives, party rings)
  • Small sweets (Haribo, Fruitella, Maoam)
  • Dried fruit (raisins, fruit gummies, yo-yo bear fruit rolls etc)
  • Popcorn, rice cakes, flapjacks, crackers, breadsticks or crisps

Hydration Heroes

  • Leakproof water bottle
  • Squeezy squash bottles to jazz up plain water
  • Not exactly hydrating, but if you fancy a cheeky can of fizzy pop, head to the little shops inside Chessy train station (just outside the park entrance)—you’ll find sodas there for much less than in the parks

💡 Best Kids Snack Tips 💡

1️⃣ Poundland has snacks that cost a fraction of what you’ll pay inside the parks. And yes, that includes candy floss!
2️⃣ Pack up daily snack bags before you leave home (one per kid = one less argument). Other ideas that work well are Disney snack boxes (fun for older kids); and, for toddlers, snack pots keep precious food inside and not all over the ground.
3️⃣ Chocolate has a tendency to become very messy in the summer, so proceed with caution!

Tempted? Us too. Just one peek at the bakery counter at Disneyland Paris and suddenly your carefully packed snack bags don’t stand a chance. But don’t worry—there’s no shame in mixing in a Mickey treat or two!

🤓 GOOD TO KNOW: FOOD RULES

Did you know? You are allowed to bring food and drink into Disneyland Paris! Many people don’t realise this, but it can be a big money-saver. Just make sure to follow these rules:

  • No glass containers
  • No large coolers or hard-sided picnic boxes
  • Keep it compact and easy to carry (think rucksack, not rolling picnic basket)

Crossing the border from the UK? According to EU rules, you cannot bring fresh fruit, meat or dairy. But, you are allowed to bring bananas, coconut and pineapple! So, skip the apples and cheese sticks, unless you’re buying them in France.

Travelling with a baby? You’re absolutely allowed to bring 2kg of baby formula, powdered milk, and baby food, even when crossing international borders. Just be ready to show it at customs and keep it in its original packaging if possible.

Add a Bit of Disney Magic (Without Breaking the Bank)

If it’s your child’s first Disneyland Paris trip, a little pre-trip sparkle goes a long way to creating family memories for a lifetime.

  • Do a Disney trip reveal with a balloon-in-a-box or treasure hunt steal my FREE Disney-themed Treasure Hunt Printable!).
  • Pack cheap Disney toys or colouring packs (Primark has a good selection).
  • Costumes or character T-shirts often get kids extra attention from Cast Members.
  • Face paint at home (use stencils!) saves queuing in the park.

One of our favourite Disneyland Paris traditions—pin trading! You’ll find boards like this around the parks, and kids absolutely love swapping pins with Cast Members, too. Just make sure your pins are Disney-authentic.

Budget-Friendly Souvenirs to Pack Ahead

Here are my favourite things to pack when visiting Disneyland Paris with kids.

Tip: Put a glowstick on your child’s teddy at night so it’s easier to spot if it gets dropped during fireworks.

First Aid and Clean-Up for Your Disneyland Paris Kids Packing List

It’s not all Pixie Dust—someone will spill juice or scrape a knee. Be ready with:

  • Paracetamol is difficult to buy in France. We like to pack when visiting Disneyland Paris with kids Calpol Sachets or Calpol Fast Melts (much easier than the bottle with a sticky syringe)
  • Plasters for accidents
  • Hand sanitiser gel. Eating at the buffets, touching lap bars on the rides, even using the drinking fountains – your child’s hands are going to where 100 hands have gone before!
  • Lip balm and hand lotion for you
  • Baby wipes or anti-bacterial hand wipes to wipe down sticky tables and chairs (and hands!). I love biodegradeable Cheeky Panda wipes.
  • For little ones, this nappy changing mat is excellent for quick changes. It can store all your essential items and easily fits into a backpack.

Parents Safety Hack for Peace of Mind

Losing sight of your child, even for a moment, is the stuff of parent nightmares!

Top tip: Pack an Apple Air Tag in a Wearable Kid’s Wristband (pictured above). It’ll ping your phone if you get separated. It will link to your phone and tell you exactly where your little one is located. (Also handy for your buggy and suitcase!)

Another thing I would do is take a picture of my little one in the hotel before we head to the parks. So if panic sets in and my brain freezes, I have a photo of their outfit to show a Cast Member.

And, Finally, What Not to Pack for Your Child’s First Trip to Disneyland Paris

  • Leave your kiddo’s brand-new shoes at home. Only take extremely comfortable footwear. Your child will still look adorable, and they won’t have any blisters either.
  • This is a hard one in practice, but if your child has an absolute favourite toy, try to leave it at home or in the hotel room. It’s so easy for a child to get swept up in the excitement of Disney and drop a beloved teddy. Tears and frantic parents searching for lost toys in 22 square km of park space is not a good way to end your Disney day (trust me).

Ready, Set… Pack!

That’s it—your Disneyland Paris kids’ packing list is officially sorted. Whether you’re jetting off with a sleepy baby or a thrill-seeking tween, a little prep can go a long way in making your trip easier, smoother, and a whole lot more fun. Trust me, you’ve got this. And if you forget anything? Well, just blame it on the Disney squirrels—rumour has it they’ve been known to hide spare ponchos and snack bars behind Sleeping Beauty Castle.
