Lounge Lightspeed Lands in Disneyland Paris! A Star Wars Snack Spot with a side of Droids

Just when you thought Star Wars season was over, and you’d seen everything in Discoveryland, Disneyland Paris has added a brand-new experience to the mix—one with fizzy drinks, galactic-themed cookies, and roaming droids. Yes, roaming droids. 🥹

Meet Lounge Lightspeed, an open-air Star Wars-themed terrace perched on the balcony above Starport, directly opposite Star Tours. This sleek new lounge opens Friday 31 May 2025, and will stick around all summer—until 17 September 2025 (cue excited Chewbacca noises).

🌟 What is Lounge Lightspeed?

Think of it as a rooftop snack stop for galactic travellers—a place where you can sip a fizzy mocktail (or a cheeky glass of champagne) under the watchful eye of an X-Wing, all while adorable BDX droids bumble on past.

It’s hosted by Coca-Cola, which gave us all hope that we might finally get those collectible droid-style Coke bottles in Paris (sadly, that’s not the case—boo!). Still, the atmosphere looks amazing, and the setup makes this feel like a proper little hideaway for rebels in need of refreshment.

🗓 When & Where to Visit

There are 50 seats only, so while you won’t need a reservation to enter (no Lineberty system here!), you’ll definitely want to head up early, especially on sunny days or in the evening when the lighting and views are extra atmospheric. And dates are very limited!

Opening hours: 13:00 – 22:00
Dates: May 31st to Sept 17th 2025 only
Location: Balcony above Starport, across from Star Tours

🤓 And for those worried about the Darth Vader meet-and-greet, it should still continue downstairs—though this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Official menu for Lounge Lightspeed at Disneyland Paris, showing a red mocktail and Star Wars-themed cookies. Drink options include cold drinks, rosé, beer, champagne, and two colourful mocktails: Lightspeed Juice and StarSpeeder Fusion.

🍸 What’s on the Menu?

Drinks and cookies are the stars of the show here, and the menu is split into two set-price packages. Both come with two Star Wars-themed cookies, and yes—they’re shaped like iconic ships and characters. I’ll be reporting back on their crunch factor as soon as I try one (strictly for science, of course).

€15 Package

  • Your choice of cold drink (Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Tropico, etc.)
  • OR a rosé wine from Skywalker Vineyards
  • OR a Bud beer
  • Plus: 2 sweet or savoury Star Wars-themed cookies

€22 Package

  • A glass of Champagne (Disneyland Paris edition!)
  • OR one of two exclusive mocktails:
    • Lightspeed Juice – Chardonnay-inspired with elderflower & curaçao
    • StarSpeeder Fusion – A hibiscus, mint and agave concoction (spa day in a glass, basically)
  • Plus: 2 sweet or savoury cookies
  • 🎫 You’ll also get a souvenir boarding pass to commemorate your visit!
Two BDX droids—one orange, one green—pose playfully in front of crates and the towering X-Wing above Lounge Lightspeed at Disneyland Paris. The droids are boxy, mechanical, and full of personality, with antennas raised like curious ears.

🤖 Droid Encounters & Rooftop Views

While you sip, snack, and soak in the Discoveryland views, you’ll get to meet the BDX droids—brand-new interactive characters exclusive to Lounge Lightspeed. Whether they’re zipping between tables or posing for photos, they’re definitely going to be a highlight.

And did I mention this whole thing is outdoors? Lounge Lightspeed is designed for relaxing summer afternoons in Paris—whether you’re cooling off with a chilled drink or watching the X-Wing light up at sunset. It’s stylish, immersive, and wonderfully un-rushed, especially for this part of the park.

📌 Top Tips Before You Go

  • Get there early to grab a spot—there are only 50 seats, and this one’s bound to be popular.
  • There’s no reservation system in place, so it’s first come, first served.
  • The venue is outdoors with partial shade, so keep the weather in mind when planning your visit.
  • Priority access for holders of accessibility or priority passes hasn’t been clarified yet—so speak to a cast member on arrival.
  • Don’t toss your boarding pass—it makes a lovely souvenir for scrapbookers or Star Wars fans.

✨ Final Thoughts

Honestly? I can’t wait to check this one out. It’s giving rooftop cantina meets galactic snack bar, and I am very here for it. The concept is unique, the drinks sound fun (tropical blue curacao in Disney, anyone?), and the roaming droids are such a fun touch.

I’ll be heading there in June to test out the cookies and cocktails, so keep an eye out for my review. Until then… who else is ready to sip something fizzy under a Resistance X-Wing?! 🍾🚀
