What It’s Really Like to Dine at Table de Lumière, the Most Exclusive Restaurant at Disneyland Paris
Right, let’s talk fine dining—and I don’t mean grabbing a hot dog in a ballgown (though, let’s be honest, I’d do that). I’m talking about La Table de Lumière, the exclusive restaurant tucked inside the newly reimagined Disneyland Hotel, where chandeliers twinkle, princes wander the dining room, and your champagne arrives with the kind of flair that makes you forget you’re technically still inside a theme park.
This is not just a meal. It’s a core memory unlocked.
From the food to the atmosphere to the fact that I briefly locked eyes with Prince Naveen street dancing while holding a spoonful of lemon and lobster foam—it’s an experience I won’t soon forget. So, if you’re curious about what it’s really like to dine like Disney royalty (without needing a tiara to prove it), here’s every glittering detail.

🥀 First of All, How Do You Even Get In to La Table de Lumière?
This is one of the most elusive dining reservations in all of Disneyland Paris—and for good reason. It’s tucked behind elegant doors inside the very fancy Disneyland Hotel, and for now, you need to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel in order to book La Table de Lumière online or in the app.
So how did I get in when I was staying offsite?
I asked.
Yep. In the afternoon I went straight to the restaurant desk inside the hotel and very politely asked if there were any tables. At first, they said no. The host suggested I return around 7 PM to check again for cancellations. And then—like my fairy godmother wiggled her wand—a table magically opened up when I returned that evening.

✨ Top Booking Tips for La Table de Lumière
- If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you should be able to book up to 12 months ahead (ask your travel agent).
- If you’re not staying at DLH, but booked at any other Disney hotel, email your hotel concierge or ask at check-in. They should be able to arrange a table for you if there’s space.
- And if you’re offsite, it’s still worth swinging by to inquire on the day. You never know when a cancellation might work in your favour.

🏰 The Atmosphere: Like Dining in an Animated Daydream
The moment you step inside La Table de Lumière, you’ll know this isn’t just a themed restaurant. It’s a full-on immersive storybook ballroom. Sparkling chandeliers, draped velvet curtains, gold splashed everywhere, and soft lighting that makes everyone look like they’ve just stepped out of a fairy tale. (Excellent for photos – just saying.)
And then there’s the enchanted rose on every table. Yes. A literal rose. In a dome. Just like Belle’s. I genuinely gasped.
From the sculpted statue of Belle and Beast in the centre of the room to the hush-hush elegance of the table settings, it all screams luxury. But in that refined Disney way that still makes you feel welcomed, warm and fuzzy instead of stiff and underdressed.

🍽️ The Food: Course by Course Drama
Let’s begin with the cocktail because, honestly, it deserves its own paragraph.
🥂 The Cocktail: A Frozen Rose Dream
Now, I think the signature cocktail I had (photo above) might’ve been called Winter’s Rose (despite it being summer), but don’t quote me on that. It was Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Rosé, kissed with peach and rose, poured over a massive ice cube with an actual frozen rose in the centre. No, I’m not kidding. It looked like a glass of enchanted summer, and I wasn’t about to waste a drop.

🥒 The Amuse-Bouche: Cucumber Couture
Who knew the starter could have a starter of its own? Designed to tantalise the tastebuds, this hors d’oeuvre was basically a delicate curl of cucumber on top of a creamy, herby cheese filling perched on top of cucumber jelly (yeah, I had a double-take, too).
A pretty little thing that confused me but then vanished in a couple of nibbles. It wasn’t bold, but it was fresh and playful. Like a wink from Lumière himself.

🥭 Starter: Lobster and Mango Tartare with Citrus Foam
Okay, now we’re talking. This dish had me humming ‘Be Our Guest’ under my breath. Sweet mango, tender lobster, a pop of citrus foam, and edible petals on top. It was beautifully balanced and incredibly pretty. Would 10/10 eat again and frame a photo of it for my kitchen.

🐟 Main: Sole on the Bone (But Not Quite a Soul Sister)
I went for the sole on the bone, pan-fried in Isigny butter with preserved lemon, crushed potato, beurre blanc, and a zingy touch of finger lime. Sounds like the sort of thing that should waltz across your taste buds in a buttery little foxtrot, right?
Hmmm. Sorry, the sole just didn’t quite sing to my ‘soul.’
Technically, it was cooked well—the butter sauce was fine, but the potatoes were ‘chunky’ mash, not dreamy and whipped how I like them. Compared to the punchy starter and that floral cocktail of dreams, this dish felt more like background music. Pleasant, but not the one I’ll be humming about later.

✨ Honest moment: The butter and bread were delicious. Yes, I’m mentioning them. Sometimes carbs steal the show.

🌹 Dessert: Belle’s Ballroom on a Plate
Oh. My. Goodness. This was everything. A bright yellow mousse shaped like Belle’s dress with a chocolate silhouette of the pair dancing? I practically applauded when it arrived. I ate every bite in one glorious, unladylike scoop. No regrets. Tip: Don’t try to pick this dessert apart – it tastes best when all the flavours come together in your mouth (even though it breaks my Disney heart to shatter that gorgeous chocolate!).

🍬 Final Touch: A Plate of Petit Fours
Just when you think you’re done, they arrive with a plate of delicate mini treats—little meringue bites and profiteroles that make you wonder why you ever settled for a singular dessert course in the first place.

The Cost of Dinner at La Table de Lumière
The adult menu at Table de Lumière is a fixed-price, fine dining affair at €120 for three courses, plus a few delightful surprises like an amuse-bouche and petit fours.
Drinks, including suggested champagnes, are extra (and tempting).
Everything is beautifully presented and deeply themed, but still approachable. You don’t need to be a food critic to enjoy it—you just need to love good food and the idea of being lightly serenaded by chandeliers.
🍽️ Changes to the Menu at La Table de Lumière (Updated October 2025)
When I dined at La Table de Lumière, I had the previous version of the Royal Menu — and what a feast it was!
Since then, the restaurant has quietly refreshed its offerings for late autumn 2025, keeping that same sense of indulgence but with a few new dishes (and while some familiar favourites have stuck around, the menu appears to be more streamlined).
So, if you’re planning your own royal visit soon, here’s what you can expect on the menu now.
🥂 Starters:
- Duck foie gras with toasted farmhouse bread and vanilla onion compote
- Seasonal mushroom soup with rich Isigny cream
- Perfectly cooked egg with asparagus sauce, toasted almonds, and shavings of Comté cheese
- Marinated salmon with dill, crunchy vegetables, and a red-fruit vinaigrette
- Tomato salad with Provençal olive oil and red-wine reduction (vegan)
👱🏻♀️ Yes, I’m gutted that the lobster is now off the menu. Still crying about it.

🍽️ Mains (To Continue):
- Beef fillet with confit shallots and a potato mille-feuille
- John Dory with braised endives, tomato and ginger salsa, and turmeric potato cakes
- Farmhouse chicken supreme with confit potatoes and tarragon oil
- Rack of lamb with grilled onions, creamy polenta, and a slightly spicy ‘tiger’ sauce
- Wheat and soya medallion with portobello mushroom rösti and bok choy (vegan)
✨ I had the sole from the old menu which was ok, but I would like to try the John Dory next time instead.

🍰 Desserts (For Your Pleasure):
- Herbed faisselle cheese with pink shallots and pumpkin-seed oil
- Coconut and aloe vera emulsion with mango granita (vegan and absolutely stunning)
- The Enchanted Ball Cake, with white chocolate ganache and vanilla-poached pear
- Royal Indulgence, a strawberry and white chocolate dream layered with basil crémeux
- Or, for something simpler, seasonal fruit, sorbet, or AOP cheeses with grapes
And if you’re celebrating something extra special…

🎂 Birthday Dessert: €45
A rose-shaped cake to share (serves 6), which looked straight out of a fairy tale. You do need to order it in advance (either on the app or when you check in). But it’s worth it for the drama alone.
You won’t find your typical theme park fare here. This is more ‘Michelin-guide-meets-Fantasyland.’ But even if your tastes lean simple, the staff are kind and helpful, and the food is thoughtfully presented without feeling too pretentious.
✨ Bonus tip: If you have dietary restrictions or kids with fussy palates, it’s always worth asking for modifications. Disney is brilliant at making you feel looked after, but you may need to make it abundantly clear if there’s an allergy situation.

🍽️ What About the Kids’ Menu?
If you’re dining with a little one aged 3 to 11, there is a dedicated children’s menu—and it’s not an afterthought. We’re not talking chicken nuggets and an apology. This is a full three-course affair, and it’s served with just as much polish and pageantry as the grown-up meals.
✨ Price: €60 per child
That includes a starter, main, dessert, and a drink (like Vittel water, apple juice, or milk).
Here’s a peek at what is on the menu at the moment, though of course, options can change:
To Start:
- Creamy potato soup
- Stuffed egg with herbs and apple cider vinegar
- Warm puff pastry filled with melted Comté cheese and julienned vegetables
Main Course Options:
- Tender chicken supreme
- Pan-fried beef medallion
- Fresh fish with beurre blanc sauce
Dessert Highlights:
- A mini Enchanted Rose dessert
- A classic Swiss roll
- Or ice cream with fruit of the day
I sat near a family with a young child, and he seemed genuinely into it all. He was spellbound by the princes, barely noticed his dessert (I know – wild), and was clearly having a fantastic time. I spotted a few half-eaten dishes around the room, but not a single disappointed face. And when the desserts arrived? Every single child’s face lit up like it was Christmas morning. It’s a huge part of the experience and, from what I observed, well worth it.

👸🏻+🤴🏽 Main Character Energy: The Princes Have Entered the Chat
At most character meals, a princess floats by in a swirl of sparkles and photogenic grace. You smile, you pose, you exchange a polite ‘bonjour’, and then poof—she’s gone in a puff of glitter.
But at La Table de Lumière? You don’t just meet the royalty—you get the whole royal double act.
Yes, with princes. But more than that: with couples. And it’s the chemistry between them that makes the whole thing unforgettable. They don’t just stand and smile—they banter. They tease each other, finish each other’s sentences, flirt outrageously (in the most PG way possible), and bounce off one another like they’ve been doing this since their animated debut.
And the best part? They don’t just talk among themselves. They pull you right into the story. One moment you’re asking a question, the next you’re being included in some charming little inside joke about slippers or bayou cuisine—and suddenly you’re in the fairytale too.

💬 ‘So there I was, just having dinner with royalty…’
(A few of my favourite character moments from the evening)
Tiana was absolutely radiant—vivacious, warm, and completely delightful. She welcomed me so graciously to her restaurant in New Orleans, and her accent? Just the most charming thing you’ve ever heard. And at one point, I overheard a full conversation Prince Naveen had with a guest about dance steps (he absolutely leaned in to demonstrate!).
Belle told me all about Lumière’s latest romantic playlist and Mrs Potts recipes, and Prince Charming? Total bestie energy. Like, if I could DM a Disney prince memes on Instagram, it would be him. He complimented my outfit with total sincerity and whispered most conspiratorially about shoes. I can’t explain it—he just felt like the kind of mate who’d hype you up in the group chat and send you TikToks at 2am. I loved him.

✨ So Who Can You Expect to Meet?
You’ll typically be visited by three royal couples during your meal. So that’s six characters in total, coming to your table one pair at a time. It will almost always include Belle and Prince Adam (aka the Beast in human form), as this is their castle after all.
La Table Lumière Characters
👑 Belle & Prince Adam
The other two couples rotate, but they’re usually drawn from this royal pool:
👑 Cinderella & Prince Charming
👑 Ariel & Prince Eric
👑 Snow White & Prince Florian
👑 Tiana & Prince Naveen
👑 Aurora & Prince Phillip
👑 Rapunzel & Prince Eugene Fitzherbert (Flynn Rider)
They don’t announce who’s appearing in advance, so it’s a bit of a royal roulette—but a very popular one. And yes, they really do stop by each table, chat, pose for photos, sign autographs with a flourish, and absolutely lean into the fairytale vibes.
💸 Price: Yes, It’s a Splurge (But Here’s What You Get)
The fixed menu is €120 per adult, including starter, main, and dessert (amuse-bouche and petit fours are bonus surprises!). Drinks, including that swoon-worthy cocktail, are extra.
There’s also a birthday dessert option: a rose-shaped cake that’s every bit as Instagrammable as you imagine. It’s an additional cost but a lovely surprise for celebrating guests.

👗 What to Wear to La Table de Lumière
This is a question I get asked often when it comes to fancy dining at a theme park:
Do I need to dress up for Table de Lumière?
Here’s the honest answer: You don’t need to, but you absolutely can.
Most people were dressed smart casual. Think pretty blouses, polos, comfortable summer dresses, nice jeans. Outfits you might wear to a nice dinner on holiday. No one was in joggers or sweatpants, and there’s definitely a sense that people made a little effort.
✨ Note: I saw one couple dressed to the nines. She had on a gorgeous dress with sparkling jewellery and heels, and she looked fabulous. Totally fine and she didn’t look out of place.
But here’s where the fun begins: the children. So many little ones were in full-on ball gowns, tiaras gleaming and skirts puffed to maximum volume. I saw tiny Belles, Cinderellas, a prince or two, and yes—even a mini Spider-Man. All completely at home in the golden ballroom.
And if you’re wondering? I wore my signature Minnie ears, a spotty playsuit, chunky clogs (trust me they’re comfy) and a big grin. You’ll fit in however you feel most comfortable, but it’s definitely the sort of place that makes you want to bring out your inner royal (or superhero).

👑 How It Compares to Other Disneyland Paris Character Meals
Royal Banquet (also in the hotel) is a buffet with more variety but no princes. [My review of Royal Banquet]
Auberge de Cendrillon (in Fantasyland) is princess-focused, with charming character moments but a slightly more traditional setting. [Guide to Auberge de Cendrillon]
Table de Lumière is the crown jewel. Think elegance, intimacy, and rare character interactions in a space that feels like you’ve been invited to dine in Beast’s private wing.
🪄 Top Tips for La Table de Lumière for Booking & Timing
- ⏰ The earliest dinner seating is around 6 PM and the restaurant is open till 10:30 PM.
- ⏳Allow up to 2 hours for the entire experience.
- 🎆 You might finish in time for fireworks, depending on your seating time and the fireworks schedule. But for a relaxed dinner, I would plan those events on separate nights.
- 👑 You don’t necessarily have to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel to dine here, but it would almost guarantee you a table. Anyone can book—if they’re lucky enough to get a spot! And your chances are even better if you’re at another Disney hotel (check out my booking tips above).

💬 Final Thoughts
This was one of the most beautifully themed, thoughtfully paced, and emotionally delightful meals I’ve ever had at Disneyland Paris. It felt grown-up, special, and just the right amount of over-the-top. Is it pricey? Yes. But if you’re celebrating, love character dining, or just want to say ‘I had dinner with the actual Prince Charming,’ this is your moment.
Would I go again? In a heartbeat.
Would I order the same cocktail? Absolutely.
Would I dress up in a yellow gown next time? Don’t tempt me.
