For thrill-seeking teenagers, Disneyland Paris is a treasure trove of exhilarating rides and attractions.

Best Thrill Rides at Disneyland Paris for Teenagers

1. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. An epic journey into space as you blast off to battle the Empire. Prepare to be flipped upside down at high speeds!

2. Star Tours: l’Aventure Continue. This simulator ride has a bit of a kick to it. And, with randomised stories, your Star Wars mission is a different experience every time. Is your teenager the rebel spy..?

3. Big Thunder Mountain. Hold on to your hats and glasses, folks! You are about to board a wild and wonderful runaway mine train. ✏️ PRO TIP Make sure to do this coaster during the day and at night as they are totally different experiences. 

4. Pirates of the Caribbean. Not a typical thrill ride, but the ruffian pirates and small sudden drops make this a must-do for teens.

5. Indiana Jones Temple of Peril. Navigate mysterious jungle ruins at high speed (with inversions) in a runaway wagon. Dr Jones’ archaeological pursuits seem quite dangerous! (Note: Temple of Peril is a rough ride, but if you are ok with being shaken up, it should be tried at least once.)

6. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. Iron Man and Captain Marvel invite you to board a spaceship that twists, turns and loops to save Earth from utter destruction. At launch, your vehicle will accelerate from zero to 57 mph in under 3 seconds. Best not to do this straight after lunch.

7. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Enter a very spooky hotel where the elevator is overdue for maintenance. Dropping from the 5th dimension is not for the faint-hearted. 

8. RC Racer. You are guaranteed tummy flurries and laughs/screams when you dare to ride this 25-meter-high half-pipe racetrack. You’ll never look at a toy car the same way again.

9. Crush’s Coaster. This totally tubular coaster has you spinning and whooshing in a dark, undersea landscape.

✏️ PRO TIP There will be long queues all day, so try and hit Crush’s Coaster with your teenager either first thing in the morning or last thing at night. To help pass the time, there’s a Disney game on the app you can play while you’re waiting (Scan the QR code in the queue).

10. Mad Hatter’s Teacups. Laugh yourselves silly at your own Un-birthday Party. You have control over the wheel, so make it spin as much (or as little) as you like.

11. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Even if your teenager is too old to watch Toy Story anymore, the nostalgia of Buzz and his alien friends makes this a crowd-pleaser. It also appeals to their competitive nature. Battle Zurg and try to hit 999,999 points to become a galactic hero. You’ll receive a sticker to prove it (not to mention the bragging rights).

12. Phantom Manor. Become happy haunt number 1,000 in this fan-favourite haunted mansion attraction. It’s a spooktacular delight not to be missed.

13. Autopia. Get behind the wheel of your own car, no license (or expensive insurance) is needed. A classic attraction for good reason.

14. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. In the newest attraction at Walt Disney Studios, you will be recruited by Peter Parker to stop an army of Spider-Bots from taking over the world. Teens will be impressed with the mechanics – your arms will fling webs to score points, and no machinery is needed. Great fun and a great workout for the biceps!

15. Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement (Ratatouille: The Crazy Adventure). Recently this ride took away the 3-D feature, and I have to admit I prefer it. Board a little mouse car for a lively, spinning trip through romantic Paris. ✏️ PRO TIP Try the single-rider queue when the line looks too long.

16. Mickey and the Magician. Yes, it’s a heart warmer. But the special effects of this show are truly magical. Follow Mickey on his quest to realise his true potential – a must-do for all ages.

17. The Lion King. Another West End-quality production that will dazzle your whole family. A different take on the animated classic with fantastic acrobatic stunts.

18. Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Return to Wonderland. Walt Disney Studios Park’s newest show combines BMX bike tricks and pop/rock music.

19. Disney Illuminations and Disney Electrical Sky Parade. The drone show and nighttime extravaganza showcases projections on the iconic castle. And the exuberant water display and pyrotechnic show will amaze even your most sceptical teenager. (It’s your best chance to grab a hug!)

20. Plaza Gardens Character Breakfast in Disneyland Park. You can never be too old for a high-five from Captain Hook and Tigger! The pictures you’ll get are priceless. My teen loves a buffet breakfast, and this one has a satisfying selection of Mickey waffles, meat and plant-based sausages, fruit, pastries and more. 

21. PYM Kitchen in Walt Disney Studios. Disneyland Paris’ newest restaurant plays with proportions in this nod to the science of Ant-Man movies. This creative buffet is a crowd-pleaser, and I can also confirm the blue wine is delicious!  

22. Downtown at Disney Art of Marvel Hotel. Our family’s favourite Disneyland Paris restaurant, Downtown has a well-designed buffet featuring New York-inspired dishes and creative Marvel-themed desserts. One for the ‘gram.

23. Rainforest Café in Disney Village. Looking for hearty burgers and a lively atmosphere? Rainforest Café has been around a long time and can be counted on for fun family theming and a kid-pleasing menu.

Best Quick-Service Dining at Disneyland Paris for Teens

24. Colonel Hathi’s in Disneyland Park. The iconic Mickey-shaped pizza is a must-do in Disney. The restaurant’s Jungle Book theming is really fun, too.  

25. Stark Factory in Walt Disney Studios. Pizza, pasta and salad are served up in this cool Iron Man-themed café. Adults will appreciate the espresso and the beer, depending on what kind of day you’re having!

26. Earl of Sandwich in Disney Village. Lots of great budget-friendly choices here; we like the kid’s pizza and the hot sandwiches best.

Best Snacks at Disneyland Paris for Teens

It’s not a day at Disney without a treat! These are our favourites:

27. Disney Waffle sundaes. You can find yummy waffles dotted around both parks, either Mickey-shaped or Darth Vadar-shaped. But to really WOW your teenager, pop to Adventureland (near Indiana Jones and Colonel Hathis) for a stand that sells waffle sundaes – 3 Mickey waffles topped with chocolate and marshmallows.

28. Mickey Bars. As ubiquitous as the Sleeping Beauty Castle, I need not explain the pleasure of these Mickey-shaped ice cream bars. Put it on your bucket list.

29. Ice cream at March Hare Refreshments. Definitely shareable, these Alice in Wonderland ice cream treats are as tasty as they are cute.

30. You could also check out what they have at Victoria’s – it’s a sit-down dessert cafe often with cute seasonal cakes.

31. Cheesy nachos. Plastic cheese (as my family calls it) should only be consumed on Disney property! The nachos at Casa de Coco in Frontierland are a firm teen favourite.

SHOPPING. Splash Your Cash

Does your teenager have some spending money burning a hole in their pocket? Not a problem. Disney has 50 ways to spend it (at least!).

32. Boardwalk Candy Palace on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. My teenager always stops by for a big bag of pic-n-mix. It’s a fun treat to eat in a long queue, even if it is a bit pricey. I also recommend the rainbow-coloured selection of macarons and cute Minnie and Mickey cake pops.  

33. Star Traders. An exit-through-the-gift-shop situation occurs as you leave Star Tours. This shop has a very impressive selection of Star Wars merch if your teen is a fan. Here is where you can build your own lightsabre or mini droid. They also have a fantastic selection of art prints.  

34. Pueblo Trading Post. Possibly the best pin trading store at Disneyland Paris, it is located in Frontierland near Big Thunder Mountain. Bring your authentic Disney pins and trade one of equal value for free.

35. Disney Fashion in Disney Village. An eclectic shop with everything from vintage Disney apparel to Pandora jewellery, it’s a fun place for fashion-savvy teens to have a nosey.

36. The Disney Gallery in Disney Village. If your teen is into art, this shop is a must-do for prints, pins and collectables. You can even get a custom print sent home!

37. The Lego Store in Disney Village. Occasionally they have an exclusive Disneyland Paris LEgo item. But we go to get a Lego character keychain every trip.
