The Ultimate Guide to Breakfast at Disneyland Paris: Where to Eat & What’s Worth It

Ah, breakfast at Disneyland Paris—the most important meal of the day, especially when you need the energy to outpace a sugar-fuelled five-year-old sprinting towards Peter Pan’s Flight. Whether you’re all about a leisurely character-filled feast, a grab-and-go pastry, or the cheapest caffeine fix to survive the morning, I’ve got you covered.

So, grab a coffee (or brace yourself for the park’s attempt at coffee—we’ll get to that), and let’s talk all things DLP breakfast: where to eat, what’s on offer, and most importantly, what’s actually worth your time and money.

🍽️ Breakfast at Your Disney Hotel: Convenient, Reliable, and a Bit of a Frenzy

If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you’ve got the easiest breakfast option right under your nose: the hotel buffet. Every hotel serves a continental and hot breakfast, which generally includes pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, and unlimited tea, coffee, and juice. Sounds great, right? Let’s break it down.

🏨 Disney Hotel Breakfast Breakdown

  • 🏜️ Santa Fe & 🤠 Cheyenne (Value Hotels)
    • Continental breakfast with pastries, croissants, pain au chocolat, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, and cold cuts.
    • Hot options include eggs, bacon, sausages, and baked beans.
    • Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and juices are included.
    • These hotels tend to feel busiest, so arrive early!
  • 🌲 Sequoia Lodge & 🚢 Newport Bay Club (Mid-Range Hotels)
    • Similar offerings but with a bit more variety—think pancakes, more cheese selections, and occasionally omelets.
    • Sequoia Lodge has a rustic, cozy feel, while Newport Bay Club’s breakfast room has elegant nautical vibes.
    • Newport Bay Club’s breakfast is often praised for being a little quieter compared to Sequoia.
  • 🦸‍♂️ Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
    • A more modern, stylish buffet with classic breakfast staples alongside international options.
    • You’ll find eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, pancakes, and smoked salmon.
    • The atmosphere is sleek and polished, fitting for a Marvel-themed stay.
  • 🏰 Disneyland Hotel (Luxury Hotel)
    • A grander buffet featuring smoked salmon, an expanded pastry selection, multiple cheeses, fresh fruit, and even sparkling wine.
    • This is the most expensive and refined breakfast on property—great for a splurge.
  • 🌲 Davy Crockett Ranch (Self-Catering Option)
    • Unlike the other hotels, there is no sit-down buffet. Instead, guests receive a grab-and-go breakfast bag which typically includes:
      • A croissant and a baguette.
      • Butter, jam, and Nutella sachets.
      • Apple fruit pots.
      • Juice boxes (usually Minute Maid orange and apple juice).
      • UHT milk.
      • Instant coffee, tea, and hot chocolate sachets (guests need to prepare these themselves in their cabins).
    • This is meant to be enjoyed in your cabin, giving it more of a self-catering feel.

🤓 GOOD TO KNOW You will not make a reservation for a Disney hotel breakfast, you’ll just turn up to the restaurant during breakfast hours and usually choose your seat in the dining the hall.

💰 How Much Does It Cost?

Breakfast is included if you have booked a meal plan at your Disney hotel. Otherwise, payment is accepted on the day.

  • Santa Fe & Cheyenne: Approx €18/€22 (kids/adults)
  • Sequoia Lodge & Newport Bay Club: Approx €23/€28
  • Hotel New York: Approx €26/€32
  • Disneyland Hotel: Approx €36/€45
  • Davy Crockett Ranch: Approx €15.50

🛎️ Hotel Breakfast Tips

Be an early bird – Crowds descend like hungry seagulls. Get in early if you want a relaxed meal before Extra Magic Time.

Hotel-hopping breakfast? Maybe… – In theory, you might be able to use your breakfast voucher at another Disney hotel of the same value, but it’s not guaranteed. If you fancy a breakfast adventure, go for it, but don’t be surprised if you’re sent back to your own hotel with a sympathetic shrug.

What if you don’t want the buffet? – You can swap your breakfast voucher for select restaurants in Walt Disney Studios Park or Disney Village instead (more on that in a sec – but, basically Annette’s Diner (after 10 am) and Stark Factory in Walt Disney Studios both accept breakfast vouchers).

GOOD TO KNOW The Starbucks at Santa Fe & Cheyenne is currently closed for refurb, so no hotel Starbucks runs for now! But you can visit the Disney Village or Chessy train station Starbucks locations (see below).

👑 Character Breakfast at Disneyland Paris: Magical or Just Mega Expensive?

For that extra sprinkle of pixie dust (and by pixie dust, I mean lots of euros leaving your wallet at lightning speed), you can have a (somewhat rushed) breakfast with Disney characters.

That said, a character breakfast is one of the best ways to meet characters, it is cheaper than a character dinner, and the food is generally more universally liked by fussy eaters.

🏰 Plaza Gardens Restaurant (Disneyland Park)

  • What’s included? Buffet breakfast with Mickey waffles, pancake machine, pastries, eggs, bacon, cereals, and drinks. (check out booking and extra tips for Plaza Gardens).
  • Characters? Includes a mix of 6 classic characters like Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Capt Hook, Mr Smee, Tigger, and Eeyore (but no guarantees).
  • Price? Around €50 per adult, €40 per child.

👑 Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland)

  • What’s included? A fancy plated breakfast fit for royalty (check out the Princess Breakfast booking, tips and menu).
  • Characters? Cinderella and two other princesses (but no mice—that’s dinner only!).
  • Price? Around €60 per adult, €40 per child.

🚨 Reservations required! You cannot just wander in, these are super popular tables, so book via the Disneyland Paris app. Or, if they’re sold out, sign up for alerts with DLP Tables (my favourite for getting character breakfast reservations!).

🏨 Offsite Hotel Breakfasts: What to Expect & How to Save

If you’re staying offsite, most hotels near Disneyland Paris offer breakfast—usually as an optional add-on when you book. And here’s a little money-saving tip: adding breakfast in advance is often cheaper than paying on the day.

🍳 What’s on the Menu?

Offsite hotel breakfasts tend to be very standard across the board, offering a mix of:

🥣 Cold Options: Cereals, muesli, yoghurts, fresh fruit, and sliced bread.
🥞 Hot Options: Scrambled eggs, sausages, and sometimes a pancake machine (yes, really!).
🧀 Continental Style: Cold meats, sliced cheeses, croissants, and pain au chocolat (because France).
Drinks: Juices and self-serve coffee/hot chocolate machines.

💡 Things to Keep in Mind

Buffets are usually self-service, with a mix of hot and cold food.
Some hotels have limited seating, so expect a bit of a breakfast rush—especially at peak times.

While offsite hotel breakfasts aren’t the most exciting meal of the trip, they’re a convenient and affordable option if you want to fuel up before heading to the parks. But if you’d rather have something more special, it might be worth skipping in favour of a Disney Village or in-park breakfast treat (more on that below!).

🍞 Can You Take Food from the Hotel Buffet?

Ah, the age-old debate. Can you take a pack-up from the hotel breakfast buffet? Technically, the answer is no. It’s called a breakfast buffet, not a takeout lunch and dinner buffet, right?

Taking food from the buffet is considered tacky at best (and breaking the rules at worst). Do people do it? Yes. What happens if you’re caught? You could be asked to leave the restaurant and be uninvited for future visits. Which would be incredibly #awkward.

That said, if you really want to take something for later, ask a staff member. Some may allow it if you’re discreet. Otherwise, fill your belly but pop to shops to grab a snack for later.

☕ Best Quick & Budget-Friendly Breakfasts

Maybe you’re not about the big sit-down breakfast life. Maybe you just want a croissant and to get straight to the magic. I get it. Here are some solid grab-and-go options:

🚆 Breakfast on the Go: Options at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy Train Station

If you’re arriving at Disneyland Paris by train or just want a quick, convenient breakfast before heading into the parks, the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station has a few solid options. Whether you need a strong coffee, a budget-friendly snack, or a last-minute breakfast on the run, here’s what you’ll find:

Starbucks – All the usuals—lattes, cappuccinos, iced drinks, pastries, sandwiches, and fruit pots.

Pret A Manger – Freshly made sandwiches, croissants, yoghurts, porridge, fruit (hard to find elsewhere!), and barista-made coffee.

Relay Convenience Store – A mix of pre-packaged croissants, pain au chocolat, baguette sandwiches, bottled drinks, and snacks.

Krispy Kreme – Fresh doughnuts in various flavours, plus coffee and cold drinks.

💡 Pro Tip:

If you want good coffee without Disney prices, the train station is your best bet. Grab a Pret or Starbucks coffee before heading in—you’ll thank me later when you avoid the park’s questionable espresso situation!

☕ Disney Village

Starbucks – Pastries, sandwiches, and coffee.

Earl of Sandwich – Offers a French breakfast deal (hot drink, croissant, jam), American breakfast (hot drink + breakfast sandwich), and English breakfast (hot drink + eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, toast). Prices range from around €5.99–€9.99.

McDonald’s – The cheapest way to get a McMuffin and coffee before heading to the park. Is it crazy and chaotic in there? Yes. Will you be late for Extra Magic Time? Quite possibly. McDonald’s Disney Village Menu.

Annette’s Diner – A great sit-down breakfast option in Disney Village. Their breakfast plates cost €19 (or they will accept a Disney Hotel meal plan after 10 am) and include:

  • American Breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, baked beans, toast.
  • Sweet Breakfast: Pancakes, a Mickey beignet, muffin, fruit.
  • Vegan Breakfast: Mushrooms, a wrap, vegetarian chili, avocado on toast.
  • Salted Breakfast: Scrambled or fried eggs, toasted English muffin, bacon, sausage, beans, potato pancakes, tomatoes, and butter.

🍩 Breakfast Inside the Parks

Stark Factory (Walt Disney Studios) – Breakfast bundle includes choice of a croissant, pain au chocolat, or toast with various spreads, plus a hot drink (coffee/tea) and cold drink (Minute Maid orange/apple or Vittel). Costs €7, or you can buy items separately.

Cable Car Bake Shop (Main Street, Disneyland Park) – Mickey-shaped Nutella beignets (€4.50 each—yes, you need one).

Crêpes & Coffee or Hot Chocolate (Near the Castle or in Walt Disney Studios near Remy’s Crazy Adventure) – €5, or a ‘sweet treat’ combo is around €7 with a hot drink.

🤔 FAQs: Common Disneyland Paris Breakfast Questions

⁉️ Can you just pay for your kids at character breakfasts and not the adults?

Sorry, that’s a hard nope. You’re paying for the character interaction, not really the food. Whether you don’t eat one bite or fill up six plates (like my kids do), everyone at the table will be charged.

⁉️ Is the 8:15 AM character breakfast worth missing Extra Magic Time?

It depends. If you only have one park day and rides are your priority, go for the 9:45 AM slot and use the early hour for low wait times. If you have multiple days, the 8:15 AM slot is great for crowd-free castle photos.

⁉️ How do you get into the park for an 8:15 AM breakfast when the gates don’t open until 8:30?

Look for the special breakfast queue—usually near a green umbrella and a sign that says ‘Character Breakfast.’ Usually in the center of the entrance, but the location sometimes changes, so keep your eyes open. Arrive early, as security might not open Disney Village gates until just before 8:15 AM.

🎢 Best Strategy for Breakfast & Extra Magic Time

So, how do you fuel up and maximise ride times? Here’s a clever approach to doing breakfast and Extra Magic Time:

1️⃣ Head straight to the busiest rides (Crush’s Coaster, Peter Pan’s Flight, etc.).
2️⃣ After the first hour or two, grab a later breakfast at Annette’s Diner or Starbucks in Disney Village when ride queues pick up.

💡 This is especially smart if you bring a morning snack for the kids—no one wants a hangry meltdown in the Ratatouille queue.

🎉 Final Thoughts: The Breakfast Verdict

So, what’s the best breakfast at Disneyland Paris? Well, that depends…

Want convenience? Stick with your Disney hotel buffet.
Want a magical start? Character breakfast at Plaza Gardens or Auberge de Cendrillon (if your wallet can handle it).
On a budget? Grab a beignet or a croissant from Main Street.
Need caffeine ASAP? Train station Starbucks or Pret will save you from theme park coffee regret.
Craving pancakes and a 50s diner vibe? Annette’s is waiting for you.

And if all else fails? Pack some pastries in your suitcase and call it ‘European chic snacking’.
