Disneyland Paris Frozen Opening Day (29 March): What To Expect + Smart Strategy
Gather round because this is IMPORTANT if you’re heading to Disneyland Paris on 29th March 👀❄️
Disney have just dropped new details about the World of Frozen opening day… and I’m just going to say it plainly:
This is going to be BUSY busy.
Not in a ‘it’ll be a bit crowded’ way…
More in a ‘this is a major milestone event and the parks will absolutely feel it’ kind of way.
So here’s the real tea. No sugar coating, just helpful planning:
9 tips for Disneyland Paris Frozen opening day 👇

1. There will be a queue just to ENTER the land
If you’re imagining casually wandering into Arendelle whenever you fancy… that’s not how this is going to work.
There will be a dedicated queue just to ENTER the land.
Yes. A queue… for the queue.
So straight away, this changes how you plan your day.
2. Entry is NOT guaranteed
This is the bit people don’t expect.
Even if you:
- Have a valid park ticket
- Are inside Disney Adventure World
👉 You are not guaranteed entry to World of Frozen
👉 And definitely not guaranteed to ride Frozen Ever After
It’s going to be capacity-controlled all day.

3. Frozen Ever After will be the busiest ride in the park
No surprises here.
This will be the ride everyone is heading for — and wait times are going to reflect that.
Expect:
- Very long standby queues
- High demand for Premier Access
- Potentially limited availability later in the day
If riding it is your priority, you’ll need a plan.
PRO TIP for Character Lovers
Want to Meet Anna and Elsa?
If meeting Anna and Elsa is top of your list (completely understandable 💙), I’ve put together a full guide on how it works in the new land — including tips to give yourself the best chance with Virtual Queue.

4. The whole park will feel busier (not just Frozen) 🌍
Opening day crowds won’t stay neatly in Arendelle.
They will spill out across the entire park, which means:
- Longer queues on other rides
- Busier restaurants
- More crowded walkways
So even your ‘backup plan rides’ won’t feel like a quiet escape.

5. The Arendelle shop will be packed 🛍️
Arendelle Boutique is going to be very popular.
But here’s a genuinely helpful tip:
👉 Most Frozen merchandise will also be available at Studios Store near the entrance
Only a couple of items (like trolls and mini figures) are exclusive to the land.
So you can skip one queue… and still get the goodies.

6. Disneyland Paris Frozen Opening Day is nOT the day for a packed ride list
If you’re someone who loves ticking off loads of rides in one day…
This isn’t that day.
You’ll enjoy it so much more if you:
- Lower expectations
- Go with the flow
- Treat anything you ride as a bonus

7. The smartest move? Do the other park instead
Disney’s own advice (and I fully agree with this):
👉 Visit Disneyland Park on the 29th
👉 Save World of Frozen for another day
If you’ve got a multi-day ticket, this is by far the best strategy.

8. Go for the atmosphere, not the checklist ✨
If you are going on opening day…
Treat it like a milestone moment, not a productivity mission.
Soak up:
- The excitement
- The energy
- The once-only opening day buzz
Because that part? You can’t replicate later.
9. Accessibility and priority access ♿
If you’re visiting with a Priority Card or accessibility needs, this is understandably a big question right now.
At the time of writing, Disney hasn’t shared full details on how priority access will work specifically for the World of Frozen entry queue on opening day.
However:
👉 Priority access (such as Priority Cards and Easy Access Cards) is typically available for attractions (including Frozen Ever After)
👉 It’s less clear how (or if) this will apply to the queue to enter the land itself. Reports have suggested that Priority Access will have their own (shorter) queue and Easy Access holders will be given a return time. Keep an eye on my socials for an update as I’ll be there live on opening day.
My advice?
✨ Speak to a Cast Member as early as possible on the day
✨ Check the accessibility rules on the official Disneyland Paris website for any updates
✨ And allow extra time and flexibility, as opening day procedures can be a little different to normal operations

✨ Looking ahead to Disney Adventure World
While opening day is going to be intense, this is all part of something really exciting…
Disney Adventure World is a huge transformation of the park, and World of Frozen is just the beginning.
From what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to bring:
- Beautiful new themed areas
- New food spots and experiences
- And a completely different feel to the park overall
So if opening day feels a bit overwhelming… just remember, this is the start of something you’ll be able to continue to enjoy on future visits for decades to come 💙
