Is Disney Adventure World Worth Visiting Right Now? (My Honest Opinion)
Everyone’s asking the same question right now: is Disney Adventure World actually worth it yet?
So, let’s talk about it. There’s still construction happening, there’s walls and cranes and we’ve got World of Lion King to look forward to.
Even so, here’s the thing… it’s not a simple yes or no. It’s a ‘yes, but…’
And whether that ‘but‘ matters depends entirely on you. Here’s why.
So… is Disney Adventure World worth it?
Short answer?
Yes. I was genuinely impressed.
Longer answer?
It’s one of the most beautifully designed areas Disneyland Paris has ever created… and at the same time, it’s very obviously still growing.
Those two things don’t cancel each other out, but I think if you’re spending thousands on a once-in-a-lifetime type trip, there’s details you’ll want to weigh up first.
What completely won me over 💖
Let’s start with the good stuff… because there’s a lot of it.
The first thing that hit me was just how fresh everything feels. There’s this storybook quality to the whole expansion that genuinely made me stop and look around more than once (and take approximately 800 photos in the process).
Two huge highlights for me: Minnie’s Marching Band and Raiponce Tangled Spin.
I’m slightly obsessed with both.
Nothing in the new expansion at Disneyland Paris feels thrown together — which, if you’ve been to a few half-hearted events you’ll know what I mean.
World of Frozen: The heart of it all
Centrepiece: Frozen Land! Is it worth the hype?
The theming is stunning. Immersive in that Disney way where you sort of forget where you are. And this is where to me if feels like you’re getting value for your ticket.
You’ve got Anna and Elsa to meet, the Citizens of Arendelle to chat to, that gorgeous snowflake fountain that’s basically begging for photos…
…And then the Easter eggs that make it feel special.
Like Mossy, the baby troll that pops up and will actually talk to you.
Must-do shows and attractions in World of Frozen
The Celebration in Arendelle lagoon show is a surprising highlight. Especially seeing Olaf walking and talking on a boat (which is just… brilliant).
As you would expect, the Anna and Elsa character meet is delightful (though you do need to get your head around the Virtual Queue system first – details in that post I’ve linked above).
And the Frozen Ever After ride is exactly what you’d hope it would be.
Yes, it’s familiar if you’ve seen it elsewhere… but not everyone has! And it’s still the kind of ride you’ll happily queue for again. Even the wait is filled with little details to spot, like Oaken’s shop.
Cascade of Lights: Is it worth staying for?
I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about how good a drones-over-the-lake show could actually be. How would it compare to the castle show’s very high bar?
But the drones truly are jaw-dropping. Like, stop-you-in-your-tracks-and-accidentally-bump-into-the-person-behind-you kind of thing (sorry to whoever that was!).
It feels big. Expensive. Like a Disney park end-of-day moment you don’t want to miss.
I will add one small caveat, though… 👀
Depending on where you’re standing, you might find yourself with a rather large crane in the background (see pic above).
With the music, water effects, and everything happening around you, it fades into the background while you’re watching. But, it will make an appearance later in your photos.
So if that photo matters to you, it’s worth checking your view before settling in for the show.
Where to eat in Disney Adventure World
Another unexpected highlight for me in the new Disneyland Paris expansion?
The food!
I was so impressed with the salmon plate at The Nordic Crown Tavern in World of Frozen, and the savoury Noridc soup bowl from La Terrasse Panoramagique on Adventure Way.
I don’t normally eat theme park food and say, ‘wow… this is actually really good’ very often!
The bits that made me pause 🙈
Now… this is the part that pains me to talk about.
Because while I loved Disney Adventure World, there are things you should know.
First, the construction.
It’s there. You can’t ignore it.
One whole side of Adventure Way is boarded up, and bare concrete structures peek over the top.
And beyond World of Frozen, you can see three cranes. Not small, subtle ones either. Totally towering, ‘you will notice me in your photos’ cranes.
Does the construction ruin the experience?
The important thing is… the construction is mostly in the background. It’s not right in front of you while you’re skipping along. And unlike scheduled refurbs, no beloved nostalgic ride has been closed down for a paint job (I’m looking at you Peter Pan!).
These walls are around areas no one has experienced yet. So, no, don’t worry, the construction doesn’t ruin the experience enough to question whether your visit is worth it.
But not gonna lie, it does remind you that this isn’t the final version of this park.
Then there’s the layout around Frozen.
Getting in and out of World of Frozen at the back of the park is a bit tricky right now because of the one-way system.
It’s manageable, but it’s something that caught me out and is worth knowing in advance (I’ll share more on that in my mistakes post, because there are a few little things like this).
✍️ EDITOR UPDATE: As of summer 2026, this system was changed to a normal two-way flow.
The show crowds (what to expect)
The World of Frozen lagoon show, A Celebration in Arendelle, is so popular that if you don’t get there early, you’re going to struggle to see it. AT ALL.
That surprised me.
And finally… the immersion break.
I’m going to be straight with you: From certain spots, you can see other lands.
RC Racer and Parachute Drop popping up in the background — even from quite far away — does take you out of the moment a little.
It’s not constant, but when you see it, you can’t un-see it. Looking across the lake and seeing orange RC Racer tracks on top of Regal View is very… weird.
Who will Find Disney Adventure World Worth it right now
If you fall into one of these categories… you’re going to have the best time at Disney Adventure World:
• Big Frozen fans
You are completely in your element here. Everything is built around that world and it shows. It’s not just another little land, it’s a living breathing little Frozen microcosm.
• First-timers
You won’t have anything to compare it to, which honestly works in your favour. It just feels like more to discover, more to enjoy, more to take in.
• People who love soaking up atmosphere
If you’re someone who enjoys wandering, noticing details, taking photos, watching little moments unfold… this new area was made for you. Take a walk around that lake and just breathe it in. Say hi to Minnie if you see her.
But, You Might Want to wait before visiting If…
Like everything in life, not everything is for everybody.
If you’re someone who:
- wants everything to feel completely finished
- finds construction distracting
- or is planning a very short, high-pressure trip
…you might prefer to wait until everything is complete.
Not because it’s not good now.
But because it’s going to be even better.
Is Disney Adventure World worth it in terms of Cost?
You’re spending a lot of money on this trip… so is Disney Adventure World worth it?
I’d say yes, Disney Adventure World is completely worth it. More than the Walt Disney Studios Park before it.
There is so much to do now.
You’ve already got:
- Avengers Campus
- Crush’s Coaster
- The Ratatouille ride
- Tower of Terror
- Toy Story Land
- Incredible shows like Together: a Pixar Musical Adventure and Mickey and the Magician
- And now Cascade of Lights in the evening!
Plus, there’s Raiponce (Rapunzel) Tangled Spin, everything in the World of Frozen and iconic character shows with Minnie Mouse and seasonal characters performing in the gazebo on top of that.
The biggest surprise for me wasn’t whether Disney Adventure World is worth it, it’s how quickly you run out of time to do it all!
How long do you need for Disney Adventure World?
You could easily spend a full day here and still not have met Spider-Man, Woody, or Mickey Mouse in his cute little Victorian suit (a travesty in my opinion).
Which is why, if I’m being completely honest:
👉 I wouldn’t plan Disney Adventure World as a one-day park anymore.
For the full Disneyland Paris experience, you’re looking at three days minimum, ideally four, if you want to enjoy it all without rushing.

If I were planning a trip today?
I’d go now.
Because what is open is already that good.
But I’d go in knowing:
- it’s not the final version
- there are still things being built
- and I’m coming back again in the future to see it fully complete
What else you should know
Disney Adventure World already is something special.
OK, so it’s not 100% finished, maybe it’s not ‘Mary Poppins perfect’.
But it is genuinely exciting.
You can see what it’s becoming… and evolution? For me, that’s really part of the fun of being a Disney fan.
