🎵 A Celebration in Arendelle: A New Show for World of Frozen in Disneyland Paris

If you thought stepping into Arendelle at Disneyland Paris was already going to be emotional, get ready, because we are also getting a brand new daytime show on the water and it sounds absolutely beautiful.

A Celebration in Arendelle is coming to the newly expanded area of Disney Adventure World, right beside World of Frozen. It is warm, musical, wonderfully detailed and has been created with so much love that I honestly felt a little fluttery reading the press release. This is not just a quick dance party. This is a proper, theatrical Frozen experience designed especially for Disneyland Paris and I think it will become one of the highlights of any visit.

So let me walk you through everything we know so far.

A Stage Set on the Water

This is the part that sent me into full happy flapping mode (move over Donald Duck!).
For the very first time in the entire history of Disneyland Paris, we now have a real lake large enough to host a live performance. A proper shimmering lagoon right beside World of Frozen, built specifically to bring stories like this to life on the water.

Three Viking Longships

And because the Imagineering team never misses a dramatic moment, A Celebration in Arendelle takes place aboard three Viking longships that actually glide across this lake. Not a stage. Not a platform. Real boats moving through real water with Arendelle Bay as their backdrop. It feels like such a huge milestone for the resort.

The ships themselves have been created with the same level of detail you would expect from a Disney theatrical production. They were constructed in partnership with Couach Construction Navale, a French shipyard in the Bordeaux region, and then decorated by artisans who have worked with Disneyland Paris for years. Kristoff’s longship was even hand painted by a workshop near Dijon (isn’t that charming?).

What this Means for Disneyland Paris

But honestly, the biggest thrill for me is that Disneyland Paris finally has a performance space on water. It opens up so many possibilities for the future of entertainment for this resort, and it makes this show feel like an instant upgrade and unique to Paris.

🤍 A Snowflower Festival Spectacle

The show is presented a few times a day as part of the Snowflower Festival, the seasonal celebration that fills the whole of Arendelle with a running theme of colour and music.

It runs for fifteen minutes at a time which makes it very easy to fit between attractions and meals. The whole thing takes place on Arendelle Bay, the beautiful waterfront space that connects the village to the rest of Disney Adventure World.

A Musical Journey With Your Favourite Characters

Of course, the cast list is fantastic. You will see:

• Anna
• Elsa
• Olaf (the new version)
• Kristoff
• A whole ensemble of villagers

The show blends heartfelt character moments with audience participation which means you are absolutely encouraged to sing along if you want to. No judgement here. I plan to sing with complete commitment (and no vocal warm up, sorry!).

Expect a mix of iconic Frozen songs including:

• Let It Go
• Show Yourself
• For the First Time in Forever

For Frozen fans like me, basically every song is a goosebump triggering hit!

🎼 Exclusive New Music Written For Disneyland Paris

Kristen Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez, the legendary songwriting duo behind the Frozen films, have composed brand new music exclusively for this show.

They are the Oscar winning geniuses behind Let It Go, Into the Unknown and Love is an Open Door. Their work has billions of streams worldwide and they are some of the most influential musical voices in Disney history. The fact that they have created new music for Disneyland Paris is a HUGE honour for the resort and a massive treat for Frozen fans.
