Disney Princess Cavalcade: Disneyland Paris’ Most Exciting New Parade

The new Disney Princess Cavalcade launches at Disney Adventure World on 24th July, bringing four popular princesses together for the venue’s very first cavalcade.

If you’re planning a Disneyland Paris visit and want to know exactly when and where to catch it (and what to expect once you do), here’s everything confirmed so far.

Who’s Actually In It

The new Disney Princess Cavalcade stars four popular princesses as they journey through Adventure Way in a celebration built around music, courage, and adventure.

It’s a really exciting line-up — you’ve got the charm of Rapunzel and Tiana alongside two of the more recent additions to the princess club, Raya and Moana, which tells you this cavalcade is meant to feel current rather than a rather than a classic-princess greatest-hits rerun.

Being the first cavalcade Disney Adventure World has ever hosted, there was no existing blueprint to build from. Producer Claire Salmon has spoken about the team having to imagine how the whole thing would work in a space that didn’t even exist a year ago — no small task when you’re coordinating around 600 people to bring it all together.

The Route

Here’s where you’ll want to plant yourself. The cavalcade starts just outside the World of Frozen entrance, travels around the left-hand side of Adventure Bay, then makes its way to the end of Adventure Way near Regal View Restaurant & Lounge — before turning around and heading back the way it came.

That two-way route means you get to see it twice: once on the way out, and again on the return journey. So if you miss something first time round (you will, there’s a lot going on), you get a second chance to catch it.

The Floats Aren’t Just Copies of the Films

The floats were designed by set designer Thomas Gallou, and rather than being literal recreations of the animated films, they’re described as more of an interpretation — a nod to the source material rather than a scene-for-scene lift. Fitting, really, given the cavalcade’s overall theme is adventure.

There’s also more going on technically than you’d think. Every float apparently needed sound, lighting, and set design worked in from the very start, while still looking good from whichever angle you happen to be standing at. Not exactly a simple brief.

The Music: ‘Make My Way’

The cavalcade’s brand-new anthem is called ‘Make My Way,’ and there’s already been a sneak peek of it on Disneyland Paris’s official social channels if you want to learn the lyrics before you go (hello, me!).

It’s expected to run around 90% French with an English chorus, so if your French is a little rusty, you’ll still have something to sing along to when the chorus lands.

Beyond the moving anthem, there’s also a second original piece written for the interactive Show Stop section — so this cavalcade gets two exclusive songs in total, both with an energetic, pop-inspired feel designed to get everyone singing and dancing along.

You Won’t Just Be Watching

This isn’t purely a watch-from-the-sidelines kind of show. During the Show Stop, performers invite children to dance along, turning it into something far more interactive than a straightforward procession past you.

If your little ones love getting pulled into the action (and most of them do), this is the moment to have your camera ready.

Showtimes (From 24th July)

Four showings a day, so there’s a reasonable chance to fit it into your plans even on a packed itinerary:

• 10:35 am
• 11:40 am
• 1:55 pm
• 3:00 pm

The full experience is expected to run for around 25 minutes, including the dance Show Stop, and — this is the bit I liked most — it’s set to become a year-round fixture rather than a limited-run special. So no need to panic-book a trip around it; it should still be there next spring.

What Struck Me Most

What comes through clearly, even from the early details, is how much thought’s gone into making the cavalcade feel like a new tradition rather than a placeholder while the park waits for something bigger.

Four showtimes a day isn’t the treatment you give something you’re not confident in. Neither is timing your floats against the space, a month ahead of time, just to make sure the choreography actually fits the surroundings.

There’s something really nice, too, about a cavalcade built entirely around adventure and courage, headlined by four women who each had to find their own way before anyone else believed in them.

Viewing Strategy
