If you’ve been following the transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, you’ll know things have been moving fast.
World of Frozen opened on 29th March 2026 — and with it came the Tangled Spinner, the Regal View Restaurant, and the brand-new nighttime spectacular, Disney Cascade of Lights. The park genuinely looks and feels different now, and that’s only the beginning.
This page is your one-stop update for everything happening at Disney Adventure World — new attractions, new dining, construction news, and anything else worth knowing before your trip. We keep it updated as announcements drop, so it’s worth bookmarking if you’re in planning mode.

Before We Dive In: What Disney Adventure World Actually Is
Disney Adventure World is the huge expansion that transformed what used to be Walt Disney Studios Park. Now that it’s open we can enjoy a new land, new paths, new restaurants, a massive lake, and a whole new identity.
Think of it less like ‘a new area’ and more like a transformation of the park itself.

A brand-new parade is heading to Adventure Way this summer — and it’s not your typical princess procession.
Disney Princess Cavalcade Highlights
We’re getting four themed floats, a host of Disney Princesses, and dancers to Disney Adventure World’s lakeside promenade.
Characters, Music and Floats
The Disney Princess Cavalcade is built around four princesses chosen specifically for their courage and adventurous spirit: Moana, Raya, and two more yet to be confirmed. Four princesses, four worlds, four very different stories — but all sharing that same determination to show up for their community. (Disney going deep with the theme there, and honestly, I’m here for it.)
Each float is designed around the princess’s own world — Moana’s village of Motunui and Raya’s Heart Palace among them — with choreography created in collaboration with renowned choreographer Cécile Chaduteau.
There are also two original songs written specially for the cavalcade, with music recorded in Nashville.
Where is it?
The new parade starts at the entrance of the future World of Lion King area and makes its way to the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge.
And here’s the fun part: There’s an interactive stop along the way where the princesses greet guests — Moana teaching Pacific Islands dance moves, Raya demonstrating martial arts-inspired sequences. In other words, it’s a proper event, not just a float rolling past and a few royal waves.

🎡 Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings
— New ‘Up’-themed Swings Attraction
A brand-new Up-inspired attraction called Wilderness Sky Swings is heading to Adventure Way, right opposite the Rapunzel Tangled Spin ride.
What is it?
Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings is a flying chair carousel with 64 seats, a tilting dome that intensifies the feeling of flight, and an Art Nouveau-meets-industrial design that nods to the film’s beloved characters.
The queue alone sounds worth the wait — four themed zones celebrating key moments from Up, complete with Carl’s aviator helmet and Ellie’s adventure book.
Why This Ride Will Feel Special
In the attraction’s story, guests join Russell and the Wilderness Explorers to earn the ‘Aviation’ badge — spinning above Adventure Way while the dome tilts overhead, bringing excitement to what’s traditionally been a really gentle ride format.
Several ‘duo’ chairs invite guests to ride in pairs, which I think is a really nice touch for families.

Fans Will Love the Unique Theming
The architecture blends wrought iron arches and industrial details with Up‘s signature balloon-and-cloud motifs — and at the very top, you’ll spot a golden spike representing Carl and Ellie’s famous house, echoing Pascal’s silhouette on the roof of the Tangled ride next door.
Those little details are exactly the kind of thing I love about Disney Adventure World’s design so far!
📅 Timeline
Opening expected: 2027.
Construction officially began in November 2025, and the attraction is set to sit at the heart of a new Up-themed garden — a lush, plant-filled space along Adventure Way where you can wander before heading deeper into the park.
COMING SOON:
🦁 World of Lion King
Hakuna Matataaa! A brand-new World of Lion King (or Lion King Land as it’s sometimes called) is officially prowling its way into Disney Adventure World. And the early details already sound epic.
This isn’t just a few character statues and a shop — Disney are building a whole corner of the Pride Lands, complete with a water ride that promises thrills, music, and some truly jaw-dropping scenery. And its exclusive to Disneyland Paris.

- 🌍 Immersive Pride Lands theming
- 💦 A spectacular water ride with a 16-metre drop (hold onto your hakuna matatas)
- 🤖 Audio-animatronic Simba, Timon, Pumbaa & friends

- ⛰️ A towering 37-metre Pride Rock as the centrepiece
