Toy Story 5 Takeover: Woody and Jessie Meet at Disneyland Paris on Virtual Queue (Plus Merch + Snacks!)

One particular corner of Disney Adventure World changes its residents more often than I change my mind about which restaurant to book. First it was Olaf. Then Zootropolis star Nick Wilde sauntered in looking pleased with himself. We even had Judy Hopps.

And now, just in time for the Toy Story 5 hype train, the Woody and Jessie Meet at Disneyland Paris is moving in at Animation Celebration.

(That spot has had more housemates than a university flat-share.)

So What’s Actually Changing?

The Character Spotlight inside Animation Celebration is swapping Nick Wilde for Woody and Jessie this summer, ahead of Toy Story 5’s release. It’s the sort of changeover Disneyland Paris tends to do quietly in the app, and then suddenly it’s all anyone’s talking about!

What’s Special About Meeting Woody and Jessie Now

Today’s the day they’re debuting their updated looks, too. Woody’s swapped his usual outfit for a smart bandana poncho, and Jessie’s picked up a shiny new sheriff’s badge to go with hers. Small touches, but the kind that make a meet and greet feel unique to the bran new film release rather than just the same thing that was outdoors over in Pixar Place with a standard queue.

Even the meet and greet backdrop has had some attention — Woody and Jessie are posing next to a giant frog-shaped screen that flashes up a cheerful ‘Salut!’ as you approach.

Toy Story 5 isn’t just getting a meet and greet upgrade — it’s taking over bits of Disney Adventure World, and the food was the first giveaway.

The kiosks near Animation Celebration have shortbread biscuits printed with Hamm’s face and Forky’s grin (a treat that survives roughly four seconds before someone eats it), alongside iced doughnuts in World Premier decorated with for Toy Story 5.

Cute, photogenic, and exactly the sort of thing that ends up in everyone’s trip report.

Draw Your Favourite Toy Story 5 Characters

Then there’s the Animation Academy, which is also jumping on the Toy Story 5 theme. Guests are now being walked through how to draw Buzz, Woody, and Jessie step by step, with an Disney artist showing you the ropes.

If you’ve got a child — or, let’s be fair, an adult — who’d rather leave with their own sketch of Woody than just a photo of him, it’s a memorable experience to build into your park day.

Merch for Toy Staory 5 at Disneyland Paris

And if you’re looking for Toy Story 5 merchandise at Disneyland Paris, there’s a super cute headband with the aliens perched either side of a glittery bow, little Rex and Jessie plush toys designed to clip onto your shoulder, and a backpack shaped like one of the alien claw machines, complete with a ‘PRIZE’ hatch on the front.

To me it looks the sort of range that’s been put together by someone who actually likes Toy Story, and I’m here for it.

Pizza Planet Delivery Truck Scavenger Hunt

There’s a cute scavenger hunt running alongside all of this too! From today, Worlds of Pixar is hiding fourteen miniature Pizza Planet delivery trucks around the park — outdoors, tucked into shop displays, even inside attractions — each one custom-designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris with its own Pixar character or setting.

It’s a great excuse to actually slow down and look properly at corners of the park you’d normally walk straight past.

Hint: Our team spotted one of the pizza planet trucks while boarding Crush’s Coaster. Look up where the seagulls are screaming, ‘Mine! Mine! Mine!’.
