My Tips to Meet Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Paris: World of Frozen

I don’t say this lightly, but this is the character experience I’m most excited about for 2026.

Meet Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Paris together in Arendelle Castle World of Frozen in the new Disney Adventure World

If you were around the last time you could meet Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Paris, you’ll probably remember just how intense it got. Four-hour queues. Five-hour queues. People planning entire days around it, armed with snacks, jumpers, and a quiet sense of determination. It was wildly popular, and honestly, a bit of a logistical endurance test for parents.

So now that Disneyland Paris has announced a brand-new Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa for World of Frozen, it feels like a big moment. This isn’t something you’ll casually wander into. It’s going to be one of those experiences you actively plan for, especially if meeting the sisters is high on your wish list.

PRO TIP: Personally, if Anna and Elsa are a priority for you, I’d be thinking about a two- or three-day Disney trip rather than trying to squeeze everything into one day.

Not because it’s impossible, but because this Frozen character meet is going to be that popular. (Me included. I’m counting the days.)

Where to Meet Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Paris

So… where is all this Frozen excitement actually happening?

This new Royal Encounter launches from 29 March 2026, the same day guests are finally allowed into World of Frozen as part of the opening of Disney Adventure World. And no, this isn’t a temporary meet or a borrowed corner of the park.

You’ll be meeting Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle itself, which already feels a bit surreal.

And rather than marching you straight up to the queens, the experience eases you in. Because of course it does.

Inside Arendelle Castle: the Royal Portrait Gallery experience

Before you even meet Anna and Elsa, the experience begins in their Royal Portrait Gallery.

If you’ve ever visited Princess Pavilion, you’ll know the feeling. You’re not just standing in a queue. You’re surrounded by details and artefacts that quietly build anticipation, like Cinderella’s glass slipper and the Evil Queen’s magic mirror.

The Royal Portrait Gallery in Arendelle Castle sounds like it will work in a very similar way. A beautifully themed space where guests can enjoy the atmosphere, admire royal portraits and décor, and feel like they’re stepping deeper into Arendelle rather than simply waiting their turn.

From there, you’ll move on to your personal moment with Anna and Elsa.

Inside the Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa

Since the Royal Encounter takes place inside Arendelle Castle, it already feels like a step above previous Frozen meets at Disneyland Paris.

But once you’re through the doors, the excitement really starts to build, leading you towards the moment everyone’s waiting for: meeting the sisters themselves.

The setting and costumes

The meet-and-greet space itself looks beautiful.

From what we can see so far, the room features soft green walls, white columns, decorative panelling, and a large pink rug displaying the Golden Crocus symbol of Arendelle. There’s also a painted portrait and a decorative balcony backdrop overlooking the village.

More recent promotional images suggest Anna and Elsa will be wearing their queen looks, rather than their original Frozen outfits. Which makes perfect sense for a royal audience inside the castle and feels especially exciting if, like me, you have a deep love for Frozen II.

Will Anna and Elsa meet together?

This is the question everyone’s asking, and for now, the honest answer is that it hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Based on the concept art and promotional images released so far, the meet space doesn’t obviously look like it’s designed for two separate queues or two separate meeting areas. Everything about it feels more like a shared royal audience.

At Walt Disney World, Anna and Elsa meet separately, one after the other. Disneyland Paris could absolutely choose to do the same. But there’s also a real possibility this could be a joint meet, similar to how Chip and Dale always appear together.

For now, this sits firmly in the strongly suggested but not confirmed category. As soon as Disneyland Paris confirms it either way, I’ll update this post.

Yes, the Anna and Elsa Meet uses a Virtual Queue

The Anna and Elsa meet and greet at Disneyland Paris will operate using a Virtual Queue, accessed via the Disneyland Paris app.

If it follows the same pattern as Virtual Queue elsewhere in the parks, we’re likely looking at two opportunities per day, limited capacity, and extremely high demand.

PRO TIP This isn’t one to leave to chance. If meeting Anna and Elsa matters to you, I’d strongly recommend reading my full guide to Virtual Queue at Disneyland Paris, which explains how it works and how to give yourself the best chance.

Will ‘Meet Anna and Elsa at Disneyland Paris’ have a PhotoPass Photographer?

This part is fully confirmed: this is an Anna and Elsa PhotoPass experience at Disneyland Paris, with an official photographer capturing your moment with the sisters. No scrambling for phones, no hurried snaps. Just a calm, well-paced royal meeting that actually gives you a chance to enjoy it.

Other characters you’ll see around Arendelle

Anna and Elsa may be the headline act, but they won’t be the only familiar faces bringing World of Frozen to life.

This land leans heavily into roaming characters, which helps Arendelle feel alive and unpredictable in the best possible way.

Kristoff

Confirmed in promotional images and appearing in A Celebration in Arendelle, Kristoff (pictured above left) is expected to roam the village at times, interacting with guests in a more informal, story-led way.

Oaken

I’ve seen the Frozen stage show in London, and Oaken steals it every single time. If Disneyland Paris lets him loose in Arendelle with that same big personality, I will be unreasonably happy about it.

Mossie the baby troll

A brand-new character created specifically for World of Frozen. Whether Mossie appears as a roaming character, a static figure, or mainly through merchandise is still unclear, but the door is very much open.

Robotic Olaf ❄️

Olaf’s next-generation robotic appearance (see picture below) is a huge moment for Disneyland Paris. He’ll feature in entertainment within the land (and I’ve covered his role in much more detail in a dedicated post about the new Olaf).

Top Takeaways…

01.

The Anna and Elsa meet uses Virtual Queue. You’ll need to join on the day via the Disneyland Paris app, and spots will be limited.

02.

This is a PhotoPass experience. An official photographer takes the photos. You can buy PhotoPass in advance or even decide after your trip.

03.

Don’t rely on a one-day visit to Disneyland Paris. This will be a hard meet to secure, so a two- or three-day trip gives you a much better chance. 👉 Book Here

What this experience Adds to Your Trip

World of Frozen doesn’t just add a new land. It changes the shape of your day in the parks.

For years, Walt Disney Studios Park was something you could comfortably finish in less than a full day. With World of Frozen now part of Disney Adventure World, that’s no longer the case.

Between the Royal Encounter, the show, the restaurant, the roaming characters, and the sheer level of detail, this becomes a land you want to slow down in and adds a hugely entertaining layer to Disneyland Paris’ second park.

And for Frozen fans, this isn’t just a quick photo opportunity. It’s a full experience, and one that’s worth planning a trip around.

I genuinely can’t wait to meet Anna and Elsa in person. And yes, I will almost certainly get emotional about it!

But what about you? Is there an Anna or Elsa fan in your family? What does this meet mean for them? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Has there been any information on a way to guarantee a visit with Elsa and Anna? Knowing how terrible the virtual queues can be, and how important it will be to my girls, I’d rather pay and not risk it.

    1. At the moment, the plan looks only to be for Virtual Queue. Absolutely if anything changes I’ll send an alert out (are you on my newsletter list?). I know how frustrating that VQ can be, but hopefully this will mean waits of 4-5 hours will be avoided (that’s what it was when they used to meet!).
