Disneyland Paris Princess & Pirates Party 2026 Review – Was It Worth €65?

Disneyland Park at 1am is already slightly surreal.

Disneyland Park at 1am while a DJ is playing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, pirates are taking over Central Plaza and Fantasyland is almost completely empty?

That is something else entirely.

On 11 September 2026, Disneyland Paris held the Disney Princess & Pirates Celebration Night, a special ticketed evening exclusively for Disneyland Pass holders and their guests.

The event promised exclusive entertainment, rare characters, late-night rides and the chance to experience Disneyland Park until 2:30am.

Tickets cost €65 per person, so this was not exactly a cheap add-on to an already expensive Disneyland Paris trip.

So, was the Disneyland Paris Pirates & Princesses party actually worth it?

I, Amy, went to the event with my husband and here’s everything we thought about the night.

Want to see the party for yourself?
We filmed the whole experience, including the shows, castle DJ party, our attempts to find food and just how empty Fantasyland became in the early hours.

Disney Pirates & Princesses Celebration Night 2026

The party took place inside Disneyland Park on Friday 11 September 2026.

The exclusive event officially ran from 10:30pm until 2:30am, with ticket holders able to enter Disneyland Park earlier in the evening.

For €65, you were essentially buying four hours of exclusive park access alongside:

  • Special shows and entertainment
  • Rare Disney character meets
  • DJ parties
  • Selected attractions with very short waits
  • Exclusive food and drinks
  • A closing Pirates & Princesses cavalcade

And Disneyland Paris had certainly packed a lot into those four hours.

Possibly too much.

Dressing for Pirates & Princesses

Of course, if Disneyland Paris is going to invite us to a Pirates & Princesses party, we are not exactly going to turn up in whatever we happened to be wearing that morning.

We both went for outfits inspired by the theme without going full costume, which worked really well for an event where we still wanted to be comfortable enough to spend several hours walking around the park.

Steve’s Pirate Outfit

  • Jacket: Temu
  • Jeans: Primark
  • T-Shirt: Custom made by WapshottsCreate
  • Boot covers: Temu
  • Hat: Amazon
  • Scarf belt: Amazon

The custom WapshottsCreate T-shirt helped pull everything together while still keeping the outfit practical enough for rides, dancing and wandering around Disneyland Park until a frankly unreasonable time in the morning.

Amy’s Princess Outfit

  • Ears: OnceUponACraft
  • Bag: Themeporium
  • Top: Shein
  • Belt: Shein
  • Skirt: Shein
  • Accessories: Shein
  • Shoes: Nike – Comfort over Style ALWAYS!

Amy went for a much more princess inspired pirate, because someone had to bring a bit of elegance to proceedings.

Together, we ended up nicely covering both sides of the Pirates & Princesses theme.

You can see both outfits properly in the vlog here, along with how they survived several hours of rides, dancing and wandering around Disneyland Park until 2:30am.

There Was No Chance of Doing Everything

Our biggest piece of advice for any Disneyland Paris Annual Pass party is very simple:

Do not try to do everything.

The Pirates & Princesses programme was huge.

There were characters spread around the different lands, multiple pieces of entertainment, DJs, rides, photo opportunities and a special parade to finish the evening.

Trying to tick everything off would have turned the night into some kind of competitive Disney obstacle course.

So we decided early on that we were going to concentrate much more on the entertainment and atmosphere rather than spending hours queueing for characters.

And for us, that was definitely the right choice.

The Disney Cruise Line Nostalgia Was Unexpectedly Brilliant

One of the biggest surprises of the night was just how much Disney Cruise Line nostalgia appeared throughout the entertainment.

If you have sailed with Disney before, you will probably understand how dangerous certain pieces of Disney Cruise music can be.

A few notes play and suddenly you are emotionally attached to a ship staircase again.

The evening included entertainment with strong Disney Cruise Line connections, which instantly gave the party a slightly different feel from a normal Disneyland Paris evening.

This is exactly the sort of thing we want from an event aimed at Annual Pass holders.

Most of the people attending have probably visited Disneyland Paris several times.

We don’t necessarily need more of what we can see during a normal park day.

We want unusual entertainment.

We want deep-cut Disney references.

We want something that actually feels exclusive.

And this party did quite a lot of that.

The nostalgia definitely comes across better on video than it does in words, so have a watch of the vlog if you want to see the entertainment for yourself.

A Royal Ball at Sleeping Beauty Castle

One of the headline pieces of entertainment was Le Ball Royal Disney, taking place around Central Plaza.

This area can feel incredibly busy during a normal day at Disneyland Park.

People are moving between lands, waiting for shows, taking photos or somehow managing to stop exactly where everybody else is trying to walk.

During the party, it felt completely different.

With Sleeping Beauty Castle lit up behind the entertainment, Central Plaza became the centre of the evening rather than simply somewhere you pass through.

It felt much more like a proper event.

But for us the Royal Ball felt very flat, it wasn’t the show for us

Disneyland Park Turned Into a Nightclub

There is something wonderfully ridiculous about seeing a DJ playing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

It should probably feel wrong.

Instead, it was brilliant.

The late-night DJ sessions on Central Plaza completely changed the atmosphere of Disneyland Park.

You had the castle glowing in the background, Main Street lit up behind you and hundreds of Disney adults dancing in the middle of the park after midnight, with Cast Members joining in too.

It is exactly the sort of experience that makes an event like this different from simply visiting Disneyland Paris on a day with long opening hours.

You can see Sleeping Beauty Castle at night on plenty of trips.

You cannot normally dance underneath it at 1am.

The Pirates Took Over Central Plaza

Later in the evening came La Célébration des Pirates, another exclusive piece of entertainment created for the event.

And this was probably much closer to what we hoped an Annual Pass party would be.

Rather than relying entirely on the most obvious Disney characters, the entertainment pulled together different pirate-themed Disney stories and included some slightly more unusual references.

We particularly loved seeing some attention given to parts of Disney’s catalogue that do not usually get much representation in the parks.

This is where special events really work.

We can see Mickey Mouse every trip.

Give us forgotten films.

Give us unexpected characters.

Give us something that makes the Disney nerds in the crowd suddenly turn to each other and say:

“WAIT… IS THAT…?”

That is exactly the energy we want from an Annual Pass event.

What Characters?

Now, Disneyland Paris certainly advertised the character offering as one of the big reasons to attend.

There were lots of unusual names on the programme and, on paper, the line-up looked brilliant.

In reality?

What characters?

Unless you were willing to sacrifice a huge portion of your four-hour party standing in a queue, the character offering might as well have existed in a different park.

The rare characters obviously attracted enormous demand and some queues quickly became far too long for us to justify.

And that is the problem.

If you have paid €65 for a four-hour event, spending an hour or more of that time waiting for a single character is a huge chunk of your ticket.

For some people, that will absolutely be worth it.

If there is one character you have been desperate to meet for years, you may happily sacrifice the time.

For us?

No chance.

There was far too much entertainment happening elsewhere.

We came away feeling like the party had a fantastic advertised character line-up that we barely actually experienced.

So if you are considering a future Disneyland Pass party specifically because of the rare character meets, we would be much more cautious.

And yes, the vlog gives you a pretty good idea of just how little character meeting actually featured in our night.

The Food Situation Was Not Good Enough

And then we come to probably our biggest practical criticism of the night.

Food.

By midnight, after several hours in Disneyland Park, you quite reasonably start wanting something substantial to eat.

Unfortunately, there were limited restaurants open, not great when you need to navigate allergies.

There were still some options available later into the night, but the choice became increasingly limited as the party continued.

We understand that Disneyland Paris cannot keep every restaurant open until 2:30am.

But this was a sold-out, separately ticketed event.

Guests had specifically paid to remain inside Disneyland Park into the early hours.

There were themed drinks and snacks around the park.

But unfortunately come 1am they were all sold out

Our biggest tip?

Eat a proper meal before the exclusive party starts.

Do not tell yourself you’ll grab something later.

Future You, wandering around Disneyland Park at 1am desperately looking for carbohydrates, will not appreciate your optimism.

Our increasingly desperate hunt for food also features in the full Pirates & Princesses vlog.

Then We Found an Almost Empty Fantasyland

And this was probably one of our favourite parts of the whole evening.

Not a rare character.

Not even one of the exclusive shows.

It was simply walking through an almost empty Fantasyland in the middle of the night.

Fantasyland is normally one of the busiest parts of Disneyland Park.

There are families everywhere. Peter Pan has a huge queue. People are waiting for Dumbo.

Pushchairs appear from directions previously unknown to science.

And then suddenly, after midnight…

Nothing. It was peaceful. The lighting was beautiful.

You could actually stop and look around.

It almost felt like we had wandered into Disneyland Park after everybody had accidentally gone home.

This is one of the things that made the €65 ticket feel most special.

It wasn’t necessarily something Disneyland Paris had deliberately programmed into the evening.

It was simply the opportunity to experience a familiar park in a completely different way.

And this is probably the part of the night that photographs and words struggle to do justice.

Watch the vlog to see just how bizarrely empty Fantasyland became.

The Ride Walk-Ons Were Brilliant

A selection of Disneyland Park attractions remained open throughout the party and, because so many people were focused on the entertainment and characters, some of the ride waits were almost non-existent.

And this is where the party really delivered.

Being able to walk onto attractions that can normally have substantial queues was fantastic.

It also worked really well around the entertainment.

Rather than spending the evening chasing rides, we could watch the exclusive shows, enjoy the atmosphere and then wander onto an attraction when we happened to be nearby.

That made the whole evening feel much more relaxed.

We still think the exclusive entertainment should be your priority at an event like this.

You can ride most of these attractions on another Disneyland Paris trip.

But when those attractions are virtually walk-ons as an added bonus?

Absolutely yes.

The Final Pirates & Princesses Cavalcade

The evening finished with a special Pirates & Princesses cavalcade at 2:30am.

Watching Disney characters parade through Disneyland Park at half past two in the morning is objectively ridiculous.

Which is exactly why we loved it.

By that point, everybody who had survived until the end was tired and probably functioning almost entirely on Disney adrenaline.

But finishing the night with one final piece of exclusive entertainment gave the party a proper ending.

Rather than the event simply stopping, it actually felt like Disneyland Paris was saying goodbye.

And then came the slightly horrifying realisation that it was now after 2:30am.

So, Was the Pirates & Princesses Party Worth It?

This is where the answer gets slightly complicated.

For the shows?

Absolutely.

The exclusive entertainment was exactly what we wanted from an event aimed at Disneyland Pass holders.

It felt different from a normal day in the park and included entertainment that you simply could not come back and watch tomorrow.

For the experience and atmosphere?

Absolutely.

Dancing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle after midnight, wandering through an almost deserted Fantasyland and simply experiencing Disneyland Park in the early hours made the night feel genuinely special.

For the ride walk-ons?

Absolutely.

Being able to wander onto rides with almost no queue was a brilliant bonus.

For the characters?

What characters?

Nope.

Technically, the character line-up was fantastic.

In practice, the queues meant that unless you were prepared to give up a significant chunk of the party, you were not going to experience much of it.

For us, that simply was not worth sacrificing the shows, rides and atmosphere for.

So was the event worth €65 overall?

Yes.

But the value came from the shows, atmosphere, late-night park access and walk-on rides.

Not the character meets.

If you’re still on the fence, watch our full Pirates & Princesses Celebration Night vlog. It gives a much better sense of what you can realistically fit into the four hours than the event programme ever could.

Do You Need a Disneyland Pass for These Events?

The Pirates & Princesses Celebration Night was a benefit aimed at Disneyland Pass holders, but we definitely would not recommend buying an Annual Pass purely so you can attend events like this.

An Annual Pass only really makes sense if the wider benefits, number of park days and way you visit Disneyland Paris work for you throughout the year.

These party nights are a nice extra, not a reason on their own to spend hundreds of euros on a pass.

If you’re deciding whether a Disneyland Pass is worthwhile more generally, we have a full guide covering the different options, benefits and who we think they actually make sense for in our Disneyland Paris Annual Pass guide.

Would We Do Another Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Party?

This is where the FOMO becomes a problem.

If Disneyland Paris announced another Annual Pass party tomorrow and we could make the dates work?

Yes, we would absolutely be tempted.

The FOMO in me is far too strong to pretend otherwise.

But would I completely rearrange another trip around one?

Probably not.

And I certainly would not break the bank just to attend.

These events are great fun, but they are still an additional expense on top of everything else involved in a Disneyland Paris trip.

If another party happened to fall during dates we could make work, or we could reasonably build a trip around it without causing chaos elsewhere, then yes.

We would probably be there.

If attending meant changing flights, cancelling other plans, adding expensive hotel nights or pushing the budget far beyond what we were comfortable spending?

No.

The party was great.

But not destroy-the-entire-holiday-budget-for-four-hours great.

Our Tips for Future Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Parties

If Disneyland Paris announces another party like this, this is how we would approach it:

  • Eat before the party starts. This is number one for a reason.
  • Pick your must-do entertainment in advance. There is too much happening to decide everything on the night.
  • If you want a rare character, choose one. Be prepared for it to consume a large part of the event.
  • Do not focus entirely on rides. The walk-ons are brilliant, but prioritise the things you cannot experience during a normal park day.
  • Stay until the end if you can. The final hour was one of the best parts.
  • Explore the park rather than rushing everywhere. Some of our favourite moments came from simply enjoying how different Disneyland Park felt.
  • Accept that you will miss things. Once you stop trying to complete the party, it becomes much more enjoyable.
  • Wear something fun. You do not need a full costume, but dressing for the theme definitely adds to the experience.

Final Verdict

The Disney Pirates & Princesses Celebration Night was not perfect.

The food offerings needed to stay open much later.

The character queues made a major part of the advertised event almost inaccessible unless you were willing to sacrifice a huge amount of time.

And there was so much happening that seeing everything was basically impossible.

But the things that worked, really worked.

The entertainment felt exclusive.

The ride walk-ons were brilliant.

The atmosphere was completely different from a normal Disneyland Park evening.

We danced in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle after midnight.

We wandered around an almost deserted Fantasyland.

And somehow, at 2:30am, we were still standing in Disneyland Park watching pirates and princesses go past.

For €65, we felt the shows, atmosphere, experience and ride access made it worth the money.

For the characters? Still not entirely convinced they existed.

Would we do another one?

If the dates worked and the budget allowed it, the FOMO would almost certainly win.

But we wouldn’t rearrange our lives or completely break the bank just to be there.

And, importantly, I certainly wouldn’t buy a Disneyland Pass just so I could attend these events. They are a fun extra if you already have a pass and the dates work for you, but they are nowhere near enough on their own to justify the cost of an Annual Pass.
