Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris is Off the Schedule From September! (Not Forever, Promise)
Meeting Mickey at Disneyland Paris is practically a rite of passage. You join the Virtual Queue, wait (ahem, sometimes patiently), and then—ta-da!—there he is. The big cheese himself, smiling, waving, and ready for a hug that will end up proudly displayed on your fridge forever.
So imagine my ears twitching when I spotted a sneaky little update tucked away on the official closure calendar. From Monday 8 September, right after the Disneyland Paris Music Festival wraps up… Fantasyland’s Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris Closed for the rest of 2025! And here’s the bit that makes us all gulp down our pumpkin spice lattes: there’s currently no reopening date for his house until early 2026.

Now, before you panic-unpack your Minnie ears and cancel everything, a little perspective. Closures at Disneyland Paris are normal. Rides need refurbishing, shows need seasonal refreshes, and sometimes even Mickey needs a holiday (I imagine him sunbathing at Newport Bay Club in oversized sunglasses).
So What’s Going On with Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris?
Historically, Mickey’s house closures have varied—sometimes extended, sometimes surprisingly brief—but this time Disney has confirmed it’s a longer rest.
The problem lies in the that Mickey is currently on the Virtual Queue system, so it’s trickier to simply shuffle him into another spot. If he does vanish from Fantasyland for a while, it may genuinely mean either another temporary indoor location with Virtual Queue OR a return to traditional queuing in another part of the park.
One thing we do know: Disney have said you will be able to meet Mickey elsewhere in both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park.

But Where Can You Still See Mickey?
Don’t worry—he’s not pulling a full Houdini. While we scratch our heads because the Meet Mickey Fantasyland location is closed, you will be able to catch him in an alternative place. We’re just not sure yet where that place will be.
So, for the near future, you can likely expect to see Mickey Mouse at Disneyland Paris:
- 👻 In his Phantom Manor outfit through the end of September (perfectly spooky, perfectly photogenic). Look for ‘Mystery Meet’ in the Disneyland Paris app.
- 🎃 During Halloween, possibly in his Day of the Dead costume over in Frontierland.
- 🏨 At hotel meets, like Newport Bay Club or Santa Fe.
- 🍴 Or treat yourself to character dining at the Royal Banquet, where Mickey comes table-to-table while you tuck into dessert. (Frankly, any meal where Mickey personally approves of my pudding choice is worth booking.)

What This Means for You
If Mickey is top of your list, don’t despair—just be flexible. And keep in mind that closures like this are usually short-lived blips in the grand scheme of things. The parks offer plenty of experiences to enjoy until we can finally say ‘Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris Closed’ is a thing of the past!
And yes, I’ll be keeping a very close eye on this! As soon as there’s any update—early reopening, temporary meet location, or anything else—I’ll send word straight to my VIP newsletter crew. (If you’re not signed up yet, this is your nudge… along with the promise of free printables and weekly tips that make planning easier.)
Final Thoughts
Mickey may be taking a short break from his house in Fantasyland, but he’s still out there, ready with hugs, signatures, and the occasional costume change. And really, isn’t half the fun discovering delightful surprises at Disneyland Paris?
