💕 February at Disneyland Paris: New Shows, Closures & What to Pack
February is one of those months that people side-eye a bit.
It’s winter. It’s not a big headline season. And it doesn’t have the full sparkle of Christmas or the sunshine of summer holidays. But quietly? February at Disneyland Paris is one of my favourite times to visit, especially with kids.
It’s busier than January (January is basically the parks whispering), but it’s still far quieter than Christmas, Easter, or summer. And for families, there’s a HUGE perk that doesn’t get talked about enough: the fireworks are on earlier.
February half term at Disneyland Paris (my honest take)
February half term is quietly one of my sweet spots for taking kids, because it tends to be much cheaper than the big holidays, but still very doable crowd-wise.
Is it quiet? Not January-quiet. But it’s definitely less busy than Christmas, and the queues usually sit in that reasonable, manageable zone. You won’t be walking onto everything, but you’re also not spending your whole day staring at 90-minute waits and wondering where it all went wrong.
The other family win is the evening timing. In summer and at Christmas, fireworks can be painfully late (10:40 pm vibes… no thank you). In February, when the park hours are shorter, it’s much easier to keep kids awake for the nighttime show without feeling like you’ve broken bedtime forever.
And pricing-wise, February 2026 is especially interesting because it’s right before World of Frozen opens at the end of March. That’s likely the last time you’ll see the parks feeling fairly calm for a while, because once Frozen opens, everyone is going to want to explore the new land in Disney Adventure World.

What’s new in February 2026
🎀 Minnie’s Dream Factory starts (from 7 February 2026)
Starting on 7 February 2026, Minnie’s Dream Factory launches at Studio D in Walt Disney Studios Park.
This is a really handy February win: it’s indoors, it’s upbeat, and it’s perfect for warming up mid-afternoon when everyone’s getting a bit cold and a bit whiny (kids and adults included).
🎨 A Million Splashes of Colour returns (from 7 February 2026)
Also from 7 February 2026, A Million Splashes of Colour (pictured above) returns to Disneyland Park, and it genuinely changes the mood of the day.
This isn’t a slow, sleepy winter parade. It’s a bright, upbeat daytime celebration with music, dancers, character appearances and that ‘oh good, the park is waking up again’ feeling. It’s the kind of entertainment that makes you stop in your tracks, even if you were only heading to grab a snack.
And, yes, it even happens in the rain!
💖 Valentine’s Day at Disneyland Paris: what it’s actually like
I’ve been to Disneyland Paris on Valentine’s Day, and I know people always wonder if it’s a whole ‘thing’.
Here’s the honest answer: it’s a little bit special, but not loads.
You’ll usually see extra characters out, and it’s a popular day for couples, so the atmosphere feels a bit more romantic than a random Tuesday in February. The Champagne Cart on Main Street (outside Gibson Girl) is absolutely living its best life, and yes, it’s busy for a reason.
But beyond that? No exclusive Valentine’s entertainment. No special parade. No dramatic limited-time snacks. It’s basically a normal day in the parks, just with more castle selfies and more people holding hands.
Oh! And a few bits of merchandise. Yes of course Stitch is coming home with us!
📅 February 2026 park hours at Disneyland Paris
February park hours are still in winter mode, which means shorter days and earlier Disney Adventure World closures on weekdays. The good news is: you can still get loads done. The even better news is: earlier closing means earlier fireworks.
Extra Magic Time: Disney hotel guests and Gold Annual Passholders can enter 1 hour early.
Fireworks: the nighttime show is at Disneyland Park closing time.
🚧 February 2026 closures and refurbishments (rides, shows & restaurants)
Ok so of course it’s not all perfection – February is still part of refurbishment season, so you’ll see a few closures. The key thing to remember is that this doesn’t ruin your trip. The castle is still the castle. Main Street still has its charm. The big hits are still there. It just means you plan with your eyes open.
🎢 Attraction closures
- Ratatouille: Remy’s Totally Crazy Adventure (DAW) closed throughout February (expected to reopen 11th April)
- It’s a Small World (DP) closed 1–3 February
- Casey Jr. (DP) and Les Pays des Contes de Fées (DP) closed 9–13 February
- Meet Mickey attraction is closed as far as we know (no date given for reopening just yet)
🎭 Show closures
- TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure closed 5 January – 6 March
- Alice and the Queen of Hearts (always an outdoor seasonal show, may return next summer)
Tip: Show schedules can change, so always check the Disneyland Paris app on the day for current showtimes.
🍽️ Restaurant closures and Disney Village updates
- Annette’s Diner closed for refurbishment until 2027
- Disney Village is currently under construction in places, including around Annette’s
- The smaller Disney Store in Disney Village (near Annette’s) is also being redone
- A new McDonald’s is coming, while the existing one remains open for now
It’s all part of a bigger glow-up, and most of it is behind construction walls in Disney Village. It won’t touch the iconic stuff you’re excited for in the parks though.

❄️ February weather at Disneyland Paris (and what it feels like in real life)
February is still winter, but in my experience it often feels a little milder than January. You’ll still want layers and a proper coat, but it’s not always that brutal, bone-deep cold that January can throw at you.
Expect cold mornings, brisk afternoons, and some rainy days. Blue-sky February days are surprisingly common too, and they make the whole resort feel brighter.

🧥 What to pack for Disneyland Paris in February
My February packing philosophy is: warm, layered, and slightly smug.
- Warm coat
- Fleece or jumper for layering
- Gloves, hat, scarf
- Waterproof shoes
- Spare socks (truly, the mood-lifter of the century)
- Lip balm and hand cream
- A poncho, just in case

✨ My top February tips (the quick list)
- Use Extra Magic Time if you can. Winter mornings can be beautifully calm.
- Plan around shows. Minnie’s Dream Factory is a perfect warm-up break.
- Fireworks are earlier than peak seasons, which is a big win for families.
- Disney Village construction looks messy in places, but it won’t spoil your trip.
- Check the app daily for showtimes and last-minute schedule changes.
- Try the Sweet Break combo – hot chocolate and crêpes are my favourite treat in February. You can find them at the kiosk near the Discoveryland entrance.
❤️ Is February at Disneyland Paris worth it?
Yes. Especially if you want a trip that feels calmer, cheaper, and more family-friendly than the major holiday seasons.
It’s not empty. It’s not chaotic. It’s a really nice middle ground, and February 2026 in particular feels like a little window before World of Frozen changes the pace of the resort for a while.
