September At Disneyland Paris 2026: New Land, New Parade, New Closures (Deep Breath)
Every year I sit down to write the September at Disneyland Paris guide and every year I say the same thing: it’s the great seasonal switcheroo. One minute the parks are heaving with summer crowds, the next you can actually see Main Street pavement again!

But 2026 is doing something September has never done before. Disney Adventure World has properly opened its World of Frozen expansion, there’s a brand new Princess Cavalcade making its way through it, and — brace yourself — Halloween season is starting in September for the first time ever. Not October. September.
I had to read that last one twice too.
So this isn’t a normal ‘quiet month, pack a light jacket’ September. This is a month where the parks are changing shape while you’re standing in them. Here’s everything you need to know before you go — closures, park hours (all sorted for you, day by day), the new parade, and exactly when to start pretending you’re not too excited about pumpkins.

🎒 What to Pack for Disneyland Paris in September
September is still the Goldilocks month — sometimes hot, sometimes breezy, sometimes suddenly rainy just before the parade starts (because of course it is). Pack for variety:
- Light layers for cool mornings and evenings
- A breathable day outfit (cotton or moisture-wicking fabrics are your friend). Need a full wardrobe breakdown? I’ve got you: What to Wear at DLP in Fall
- Emergency poncho (those pop-up storms are still a thing)
- Comfortable shoes (bonus points if they survive a downpour)
- Sunglasses and sunscreen—yes, you’ll still need them
- A spare top for those warm afternoons
- Snacks to avoid the ‘hanger’ monster in queues

What’s New: Disney Adventure World’s World of Frozen Has Landed
If you visited anytime prior to March 2026, you’ll remember Walt Disney Studios Park as it used to be. Well, it isn’t that any more.
Disney Adventure World’s expansion including World of Frozen is now fully open, and it’s changed how the whole park flows — new lands to wander through, new photo spots that will absolutely end up as your phone background, new nighttime spectacular and a real sense that the park’s been given a new lease on life. If you haven’t been since the changeover, give yourself extra time this visit. You’ll want to see it all.
And with the new land comes something else worth planning around…

The New Disney Adventure World Princess Cavalcade
There’s a brand new mini parade, the Princess Cavalcade, winding its way from World of Frozen through Adventure Bay, and it’s a proper who’s who of Disney royalty: Rapunzel, Tiana, Raya and Moana, all set to the anthem ‘Make My Way’.
Showtimes currently sit at 10:35am, 11:40am, 1:55pm and 3:00pm, though as always with Disney entertainment, treat these as a starting point rather than gospel — the DLP app has the confirmed daily schedule for this and every other show, so give it a check the morning you’re there.
My tip? Pick one showtime and commit to grabbing a spot early rather than chasing the cavalcade around all day. You’ll enjoy it far more watching from one good spot than sprinting between four mediocre ones.
🚧 One More Thing: The Castle Bridge Is (Finally) Finishing Up
If you’ve visited any time since May, you’ll know the drill by now — the bridge to Sleeping Beauty Castle has been closed off for a major structural refurbishment (its first since 2010), with construction walls wrapped in castle-themed scrim covering the front approach. The good news is that it’s officially scheduled to wrap up by late September.
A few things I think you should know if your trip lands before it’s finished:
- The castle itself, La Tanière du Dragon and the castle shops all stay open throughout, just via the side entrances near Fantasyland and Adventureland instead of the main bridge.
- Disney Tales of Magic is still running as normal, though the fountain effects are paused for now in favour of some extra pyrotechnic sequences.
- Disney Stars on Parade has also had its route tweaked slightly to work around the construction zone.
I’ve gone into the full detail — what’s actually changed, how it affects your day, and whether it’s worth worrying about — over here: Disneyland Paris Castle Construction 2026: Panic Or Not?.

📅 Key Events for disneyland Paris September 2026
- Early September – Bookings for 2027/2028 Disneyland Paris hotel packages open (exact date to be released, join my Tuesday News Club if you want a free alert when that date’s confirmed). If you’re a future-planning type, this is your week to grab a package at the lowest prices all year.
- 6th September: Daytime parade Million Splashes of Colour comes to an end. We’re not sure if it will come back next year, so if it’s on your list, get in there before then.
- 11th September: Disneyland Paris Annual Pass party. This year it’s a Pirates and Princesses theme.
- Mid-September – Castle construction will be wrapping up! The bridge will re-open and all those controversial walls will come down.
- 26 September – Halloween season begins. First time it’s ever started in September, which is proof of its popularity.

🚫🚀 Disneyland Paris Ride Closures in September 2026
This month brings a fair few changes to the ride line-up this year — some good news, some less so. Here’s the full picture, so check on refurbishments before you promise the kids a certain ride.
Ongoing from 1 September:
- Frontierland Station – closed, with Fantasyland Station taking over as the departure point for the railroad.
Short closures:
- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain – closed 2–3 September only.
Reopening this month (finally, some good news):
- Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop – back open from 10 September.
- Peter Pan’s Flight – back open from 19 September.
New closures to plan around:
- Crush’s Coaster – closed from 7 September, with no reopening date confirmed yet.
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril – closed from 21 September, no reopening date confirmed yet.
- Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups – closed from 21 September, no reopening date confirmed yet.
📌 As always, closures can (and do) shift with little warning, so the DLP app is your best friend for same-day accuracy, so treat this list as your planning starting point, not gospel.

Show Breaks for September 2026 at Disneyland Paris
No show breaks this month, but A Million Splashes of Colour parade ends 6th September.
🎟 Don’t worry—there are still plenty of incredible performances running. I’ve rounded up my top picks here: Best Shows at Disneyland Paris — including TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, which would be my personal must-see.
Tips & tricks for September trips
🍩 Food & Snacks in September at Disneyland Paris
It’s back to the reliable classics for most of the month — ice cream at March Hare, nachos or churros at Overland Trail Café, and muffins, doughnuts or Mickey beignets from the bakeries. If you fancy a proper sit-down, Captain Jack’s restaurant is a fun escape — all moody lighting and pirate vibes, right inside Pirates of the Caribbean.
Keep an eye out from the 26th onwards, too — the first Halloween treats tend to creep onto menus right as the decorations go up, so if you’re visiting in that last week, you might get an early taste of the season before everyone else does.

☀️ September Weather & Crowds: My Honest Take
Here’s the pattern I’ve noticed year after year: the first week of September still feels like a summer encore. It’s warm, it’s lively, and — in my experience — very popular with Spanish and Italian families who seem to have that week off school. Expect big crowds and a buzzy, end-of-summer atmosphere.
By mid-September, the shift happens. The heat softens, the parks feel less packed, and by the final week you’ll find plenty of space to twirl on Main Street without elbowing anyone.
This year, though, expect the new expansion to pull a bit more traffic than usual — Disney Adventure World’s World of Frozen is so new that people are making a special trip for it. If you’re chasing quieter photos in the new land specifically, early mornings are going to be your best friend.
If you’re after that sweet spot of nice weather and lower crowds? Aim for the 2nd to 3rd week of September — just factor in a busier time for Halloween fans (and influencers) as the new season kicks in on the 26th.
🐭 My Top Tip: Because September weather in Paris can be full of surprises, I recommend checking the latest local forecast before you finish packing. About 3 days before should give you a realistic picture for jackets and footwear.

📅 Good to Know: Park Hours in September
I’ve also added these hours to my Disneyland Paris Calendar page, so if you’d rather see the whole trip picture in one place — hours, closures and events together — that’s the spot to bookmark.
Here’s the day-by-day breakdown for both parks:
1–6 September (same as end of August) Disneyland Park & Disney Adventure World: 9:30am–10:00pm

| 23 Sept | Wed | 9:30–21:00 | 9:30–21:00 |
| 24 Sept | Thu | 9:30–21:00 | 9:30–21:00 |
| 25 Sept | Fri | 9:30–21:00 | 9:30–21:00 |
| 26 Sept | Sat | 9:30–22:00 | 9:30–22:00 |

| 30 Sept | Wed | 9:30–21:00 | 9:30–21:00 |
The pattern once the autumn schedule kicks in is simple to remember: weekdays close at 9pm, weekends stretch to 10pm. Handy to know if you’re deciding which days to prioritise the parks over an evening off.
(As always, Disney can and does change these without much notice, so double-check the DLP app before you finalise any evening plans.)
