Mickey’s House is Open Again! Here’s How to Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris

Today’s update is written by guest contributor Jodie Sawyer, who has been keeping a very close eye on all things for Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris while his house was closed. If seeing the main mouse is high on your list, this one’s for you.

🐭 The Main Mouse Is Back in His House

If you’ve been to Disneyland Paris recently, you may have noticed one very important attraction missing from the line-up. And no, we’re not talking about the permanently closed pirate ship.

We’re talking about Mickey’s House (officially known as the ‘Meet Mickey Mouse’ attraction at Disneyland Paris, though Mickey’s House has a much nicer ring to it!).

After two whole seasons, a New Year celebration, record snowfall and more rainy days than we’d care to count, the Mickey meet and greet at Disneyland Paris has officially reopened.

Since September, Mickey has been popping up across the parks during refurbishment. But he is now exclusively back where he belongs, ready to welcome guests in the comfort of his own home, dressed in his timeless black and red outfit.

If recreating your childhood photos is on your to-do list, this is your moment.

And if you’re feeling particularly romantic, you might even want to circle 14 February in your diary and take a shot at being Mickey’s Valentine. We won’t tell Minnie.

Where Is Mickey’s House?

If you haven’t yet had the honour of knocking on Mickey’s door, his house is tucked into the back corner of Fantasyland, next to Alice’s Curious Labyrinth.

If you see a white rabbit along the way… no you didn’t.

What to Expect Inside

Inside Mickey’s House, you’ll step into a theatre-style setting. You’ll follow a path past the stage, a VIP box and walls adorned with classic movie posters and framed character portraits.

Keep an eye out for the little stickers and artwork dotted around. There are subtle nods to other parks and hidden details that make the wait a little more interesting.

When you’re invited to come inside, you’ll meet Mickey against a classic stage curtain backdrop. It’s an indoor, one-to-one meet, with PhotoPass available and autographs allowed.

It’s simple, iconic, and very much worth the visit if meeting Mickey is a priority.

How the Virtual Queue Works

Mickey is now by appointment only, via the virtual queuing system found on the app.

To join:

  1. Open the app
  2. Scroll to the Characters section
  3. Find Mickey
  4. Select ‘Join the Queue’
  5. Cross your fingers

Virtual queues currently open at 9:45am and 2:00pm daily. Arriving early in the park is essential if you’re hoping to secure a morning slot.

Top Tips for ‘Meet Mickey’ Virtual Queue

Slots are limited, and not everyone will be successful. It’s always worth managing expectations, especially with little ones.

01.

All guests hoping to meet Mickey must be scanned into one of the Disney parks.

02.

You can only hold one virtual queue at a time, so you may need to choose between Mickey and other character meets such as the Princess Pavilion.

03.

Meets are limited to six guests per party (under 3s do not count towards this number).

04.

Priority or Access Passes do not provide additional benefit here; everyone needs to apply for a space using virtual queue.

05.

If successful, you’ll be given a return time. Keep an eye on the countdown, as it can drop quickly.

No Luck with the Virtual Queue?

If you find the odds weren’t in your favour, you aren’t completely out of luck.

✔️ Mickey can be found alongside Minnie and friends, at the character dining in Royal Banquet. Eating your monies worth of lobster tails, seeing your favourites in their royal outfits, set inside the stunning pink hotel is perfect if you’re feeling fancy.

✔️ From April, dig out your best princess dress as Mickey also joins Auberge de Cendrillon for a three-course dining experience.

✔️If dining isn’t your thing, you can spot Mickey in the parade or follow his story in Mickey and the Magician (entry is included in your park ticket).

PRO TIP: Characters can change at short notice, so always check the Disneyland Paris app for the most up-to-date information.

Final Thoughts for Meet Mickey at Disneyland Paris

Mickey is an icon in his own right and arguably the most popular mouse this side of the French border. Slots for the Mickey meet and greet at Disneyland Paris are limited, and demand is high.

If you secure a spot, celebrate the win.

If you don’t, there is always a themed snack to soften the blow. We fully support the use of an emotional support Mickey-shaped pizza.
