Everything You Need To Know So Far

If you heard a small scream around 7pm UK time tonight, that was me. Just confirmed: something we have all been waiting for and I am beside myself with excitement. World of Frozen, Disneyland Paris’ new land, officially opens on 29 March 2026 and I will be counting down the sleeps like a child at Christmas.

Honestly, I feel like I need a cup of tea and a lie down. This land is looking spectacular. Fully immersive. Absolutely gorgeous. And as someone who has wandered around the construction walls like an investigative journalist for far too long, I cannot tell you how surreal it feels to finally see it becoming real.

So let’s break down everything that is coming to the land, what I think it means for you and how you can get yourself booked in before the rush begins.

A Fully Realised Arendelle for Frozen Land

World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris is not just a themed area. It is a complete village with its own festival, architecture, shops, restaurants and lake views. The Imagineering team have created a full scale version of Arendelle with an incredible amount of detail. We are getting:

• Anna and Elsa’s castle in all its elegant royal styling
• Elsa’s Ice Palace perched high above the village
• Nordic rooftops, carved woodwork and flowery patterns everywhere
• A living, breathing Snowflower Festival that fills the land with colour

The land is designed to make you feel like you have stepped right into the films. Not metaphorically. Literally. I am already mentally planning my costume. I mean outfit.

Frozen Ever After

At the heart of the land is the brand new Frozen Ever After boat ride. This is not an exact clone of the Hong Kong or EPCOT version. Disneyland Paris is receiving its own layout with upgraded show scenes, lifelike animatronics and immersive projection effects.

Once onboard, we will journey from the snowy forest to the Valley of the Trolls and finish at Elsa’s Ice Palace with snowflake framed river views of Arendelle Bay.

Music highlights include Do You Want to Build a Snowman and Let it Go, and on the technical side, we are getting the newest generation of Audio Animatronics (which look absolutely phenomenal).

Basically, prepare for tingles and pack the tear-proof mascara!

Regal View Restaurant – Princess Dining with a View

If you’re already dreaming about a royal meal, there’s some extra exciting news on the horizon… and no, it’s not inside World of Frozen itself.

✨ Regal View Restaurant & Lounge is coming to the brand-new lakeside area of Adventure Bay, the heart of Disney Adventure World. It sits just outside the entrance to World of Frozen — close enough to admire the North Mountain across the water, but very much part of the wider Adventure World promenade.

Here’s the fun bit: this elegant table-service restaurant will offer Princess dining. Similar to Auberge de Cendrillon in Disneyland Park or La Table Lumiére in Disneyland Hotel, you might spot Belle, Aurora, Ariel or other princesses.

Nordic Crowns Tavern

The new quick service restaurant for World of Frozen Disneyland Paris sounds delightful. Nordic Crowns Tavern will serve customisable Nordic inspired meals with options like:

• Mashed potatoes or quinoa bases
• Grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs
• Carrots and snow peas
• Dill or cranberry sauces
• A dessert selection including blue sorbet, snowflake cakes and Nordic pastries
• Also gluten free and vegan choices.

Meet Anna and Elsa in Arendelle Castle

This will easily become one of the most sought after meet and greets in the whole resort. The Royal Encounter takes place inside Arendelle Castle itself. You will move through the Portrait Gallery before meeting the sisters in a beautiful royal hall decorated with Nordic art and Frozen motifs.

This is a premium experience without being a paid experience. As such, there will be a very competitive Virtual Queue for meeting Anna and Elsa, so my tip is to get your head around how it all works before your trip.

A Celebration in Arendelle

Several times a day, the land will come alive with a fifteen minute participatory show featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and the villagers. Music and a chance for everyone to sing is on the cards!

I fully intend to embarrass my children by participating with too much enthusiasm. They have been warned.

Arendelle Boutique

This shop is going to be dangerous for my wallet. It will offer:

• Frozen merchandise (pictured above)
• Scandinavian craftwork
• Elegant clothing and embroidered dresses
• Nordic inspired accessories
• Objects designed with classic rosemaling (Scandinavian folk art)
• Postcards you can send directly from the village mailbox (stop it, that is adorable)

I will buy at least 7 things and I will have no regrets.

Meet Rúna the Baby Troll

The Fjord View Shop is home to Disneyland Paris’s exclusive interactive baby troll toy, Rúna. She blinks, lights up, goes to sleep and responds to touch. She also reacts to other trolls she meets, Queens Anna and Elsa, the villagers and elements of Frozen land.

There is also a dedicated festival area where guests can get sparkly hairstyles and face designs inspired by the Snowflower Festival.

I am already (mentally) booking the appointment for sparkly hair and setting money aside to adopt my baby troll!

🫶 Olaf and the Villagers

For World of Frozen, Disneyland Paris has developed a new true-to-life-size Olaf character with next generation robotics. He walks (or rather shuffles like a cute lil snowman!) and he looks incredible.

Plus there will be walkaround villagers of Arendelle, Kristoff’s longship in the lagoon and live performers throughout the land. It sounds like Arendelle Bay will be a hub of activity by day and by night, with reflections across the water creating the dreamiest atmosphere.

👉 When Should You Book for World of Frozen Disneyland Paris Opening?

If your heart is set on being among the first to explore Arendelle in Paris:

• Aim for late spring/early summer 2026 trips. That way, even if the opening lands on the later side of the season, you’ll have a good chance of catching it.
• Stay flexible with bookings. Travel with airlines or companies that allow easy date changes — because you don’t want to miss Elsa cutting the (ice) ribbon by a week.
• Consider waiting for an official date. If you’re travelling from further afield or with little ones, holding out until Disney confirms the grand opening might save stress (and money).

What About the Crowds?

Let’s be real: this will be huge. Frozen is still one of Disney’s most beloved films, and a shiny new land will be irresistible. Expect:

• Opening weeks to be busier than Anna’s coronation day
• Premier Access will be available for the Frozen Ever After ride (budget for it!)
• Difficulty getting reservations for princess dining at the new Regal View Restaurant. Bookings are open now for Disney hotel guest (via the Disneyland Paris app or phone Disney if you booked with them). Offsite guests can try for a table 2 months before.
• Extremely long lines for attractions and Virtual Queue to meet Anna and Elsa
• Themed snacks and merchandise (I’m looking at you, troll!) selling out faster than you can say ‘Big summer blowout!’

If crowds aren’t your thing, you might prefer waiting until autumn 2026 once the initial rush cools — but if being first is the dream, pack your patience (and a huuuge snack bag).

A Bigger Transformation Is Underway

The World of Frozen isn’t the only change coming. Its debut will also mark the transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. Alongside Frozen and Regal View, the new park identity will eventually include:

• A Lion King land (Hakuna Matata vibes incoming, but not for a few more years – boo!)
• New attraction from Tangled is coming 29th March (and one for Up a bit later down the line)
• More immersive storytelling woven throughout

This feels like the Studios Park finally stepping into its own spotlight — and what a glow-up it’s going to be.
