Studio 1 has officially left the building—and in her place? A glittery newcomer who’s rolled out the red carpet and dimmed the lights just so. And yes, I may have squealed outloud.
On 15 May 2025, after what felt like decades of trudging past those dreary construction walls (you know the ones—like a grey cloud parked permanently over the park’s entrance), the curtain is lifted on the Walt Disney Studio Park brand-new entrance: World Premiere. From the outside, it’s like your house after a good spring clean—everything’s in the same place, but it somehow feels a little bit fancier. That ‘Studio 1’ sign is gone, replaced with a teeny-tiny ‘World Premiere’ so understated, you might think it’s trying to sneak into its own party unnoticed.
But step inside, and oh my gosh—it’s like falling straight into a scene from a classic movie. One minute you’re blinking in the sunlight, and the next, you’re in a starlit courtyard, Hollywood sign beaming down with glowing lanterns overhead and the faint scent of excitement in the air. (But mind your ankles near the stroller families. Obviously.)
After months of feeling like I was entering through a construction site, this felt like stepping into a dream sequence. I didn’t walk—I practically did a dance like I was partnered with Ryan Gosling in La La Land!
First Impressions of World Premiere Disneyland Paris: From Studio Lot to Star Treatment
Yes, the bones of the building are the same, but it’s had the Disney equivalent of a Hollywood makeover—fresh face, better lighting, and a whole lot more charisma. Where it used to feel like you were sneaking backstage to glimpse the set decorators in action, now it’s like you’ve swanned in as the surprise guest at the premiere.
The fairy lights twinkle just so, the moody ‘sky’ overhead makes you feel like it’s always that perfect just-after-sunset moment, and everything’s bathed in that warm golden glow you only get in retro movie montages and childhood memories. There’s even a shiny new Pandora shop tucked in like a well-placed accessory—because of course you need a little sparkle before your big close-up.
Dining at The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant
Let’s talk food—because I may have arrived hungry, but I left thoroughly impressed. (And slightly bitter about the missing cupcake. We’ll get there.)
❌ No Reservations Required
The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant is technically counter service, but you’d never guess it. Picture string lights, leafy pergolas, and a blooming great tree in the centre of it all. It’s giving LA patio bistro—but indoors—with a hint of Disney whimsy. I half expected Remy to pop out with a tray of canapés.
✏️ The Ordering Process
First up, you’ll meet a cast member who basically acts like maître d’ for your fast food dreams. They’ll hand you a menu, ask if you’re paying with a meal plan or out-of-pocket and then direct you accordingly. I went with the ‘real money’ route and was sent to the touchscreen kiosks—super easy to use, with language options galore.
There’s a bit of a zig-zag rope queue to get through first (hello, pre-kiosk suspense), and once you’re in, it’s smooth sailing. Wheelchairs and strollers are parked outside, but there’s plenty of space inside to move about.
🍔 What I Ate
I opted for the Burger La Première, because fish burger at Disneyland Paris? Colour me intrigued. The bun is very cool with the ‘HG’ logo. Took a bite and was immediately confused… then delighted. Turns out caramelised onions are the surprise twist in this flavour plot, and they absolutely delivered. Once I figured out what was going on in my mouth, I decided it might just be one of the best fish burgers I’ve had at any theme park. Ever.
Other stars on the menu:
- Burger Superstar – chicken, cheddar fondue, and guac. Hello, flavour bomb.
- Burger Feu des Projecteurs – for beef burger fans who want a side of roasted veg.
- Holly’Rouge Boulevard – totally vegan, utterly photogenic (that red bun!)
- Sunset Salad – a rare Disney salad that’s actually interesting
🥲 Alas, desserts weren’t available yet on opening day. I had my heart set on the Mickey tuxedo cupcake. It was going to be my breakfast. Send flowers because I’m still in mourning.
🪑 Seating & Layout
Hollywood Gardens is a dreamy space to sit down in. There’s upstairs and downstairs seating, with plenty of tucked-away corners to make it feel intimate—even when it’s busy. I sat upstairs for the peace, but heads up: the chairs up there are fixed to the floor, so no scooting or spinning.
There are highchairs aplenty downstairs and loads of spots to choose from. Early on, there was no queue. By midday, the place was buzzing. But service stayed quick—my food was ready almost immediately after I paid. So perhaps it’s not made fresh when you order, but you’re in a theme park and have places to get to!

Retail Therapy: The New Shop
Headup for LIghtning McQueen fans – the previous Cars-themed shop has been dramatically scaled down, with just a small corner now devoted to Lightning McQueen and pals. But the trade-off is an even more spacious, streamlined store that’s easier to navigate and full of Pixar, Disney Studios, and general Disneyland Paris merch.
A few highlights:
- 🥃 Shot glasses! They were surprisingly popular on my Instagram live feed
- 💎 A sparkling Pandora boutique right at the entrance—ideal for park exclusive pieces
- 🎬 A decent selection of Walt Disney Studios Park-branded items
It’s not themed to the nines, but it is much more guest-friendly and open.
📸 What About Photos?
Ah. So, here’s the truth. It’s not exactly influencer heaven in there.
The lighting is low and moody (great for atmosphere, less great for selfies), and the constant movement—strollers, wheelchairs, excitable children craving more attention than minor celebrities on a red carpet—makes it tricky to get that clean shot.
Even my trusty iPhone 15 Pro struggled to keep up with the dim glow and ever-shifting crowds. No PhotoPass photographers either, so unless you bring your own lighting crew, it’s not the place for your next profile pic.
But! Head just outside and you’ll find the totally revamped Disney Partners statue area, complete with floral backdrops and a picture-perfect mural. Bonus: there was a friendly Cast Member out there snapping photos for guests using their own phones. A much better bet.
Hidden Details & Fun Easter Eggs
This one’s for the eagle-eyed Disney nerds (hi, friends).
If you walk through the World Premiere entrance and turn around to face the doors, look up. You’ll see a charming recreation of the Walt Disney Studios Burbank offices—complete with twinkling windows and shadowy silhouettes of characters like Dumbo, Pinocchio, and Mickey Mouse himself.
Depending on when you pass through, different windows may be lit to reveal their characters—like a whimsical little display that changes with each visit. I loved this touch so much I almost walked back out just to re-enter and do it again.
And while you’re looking up, don’t forget to look down—because the floor is scattered with Hollywood-style stars featuring beloved characters like Mickey, Minnie, Woody, Mufasa, and more. It’s a fun little detail that makes it feel even more glamorous!
Carrie-Anne’s Quick Tips for World Premiere and Hollywood Gardens📝
- ⏰ Go early or late for the quietest experience (and best restaurant seats!)
- 🎨 Facepainting is available for around €19 in front of the shops
- 🛒 Pandora fans: head to the dedicated shop for those park-exclusive pieces
- 🎒 If you have littles, keep an eye in Hollywood Gardens near the tree and tempting brick wall…
- 💳 Tap-to-pay is easiest; while cash is accepted, it’s not as streamlined
- 🍽️ Great spot for fast food without the ‘fast food’ feel
Final Thoughts
World Premiere Disneyland Paris is a huge upgrade. It’s cooler in summer, cosy in winter, and has that special something Studio 1 always felt like it was missing.
Even though there isn’t a stage show or attraction inside, this space acts as the perfect introduction to the ever-evolving Walt Disney Studios Park. And just outside, you’ll find the new pathway to the Partners statue—a glimpse into the park’s glittering future.
