How to Do Disneyland Paris for Adults: Grown-up Itinerary for an Unforgettable Trip

When my sister visits me from America, we always take the Eurostar for a cheeky Disneyland Paris adult trip. Isn’t it just for kids..? Definitely not! Walt Disney always imagined his parks as playgrounds for all ages—and we still love it just as much in our 40s as we did as kids! Here’s what you should put on your Disneyland Paris Adult Itinerary and my best tips and recommendations for an unforgettable trip.

The best attractions at Disneyland Paris for adults include:

🎢 10 Best Disneyland Paris Thrill Rides for Adults

Let’s start our Adults Disneyland Paris Itinerary with the best thrill rides! I love rollercoasters, so when I’m visiting with an older crowd (or solo!) I usually ask to sit at the very front or the very back for maximum excitement.

•  Thrilling Rides in Disneyland Park

1. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain

The most thrilling ride in Disneyland Park, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain has high-speed flips and turns.

Embark on an exhilarating journey into space as you launch into a space battle against the Empire.

2. Star Tours: l’Aventure Continue (The Adventure Continues)

Experience the thrill of a simulator ride with a twist.

Randomized storylines ensure each Star Wars mission is unique. Will you be the rebel spy this time?

3. Big Thunder Mountain

Hold on to your hats and glasses, folks! You are about to board a wild and wonderful runaway mine train. This is my favourite ride at Disneyland Paris for adults. ✏️ PRO TIP Enjoy this coaster during the day and at night as they are differently thrilling experiences.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean

While it doesn’t have high speeds, flips or turns, the raucous pirates and sudden drops make this an essential ride for adults. Stopping into Capt Jack’s later for some rum afterwards is totally optional.

5. Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril (Temple of Peril)

Speed through mysterious jungle ruins in a runaway wagon, complete with inversions.

Full disclosure: Indiana Jones Temple of Peril is rough on the old spinal cord, but it’s a must for adults who enjoy a wild adventure.

✏️ PRO TIP Even if you skip Indiana Jones (totally valid—your spine will thank you), don’t miss a stroll through Adventureland Its stunning waterfalls and picturesque views make it a must-do for any adult’s trip to Disneyland Paris!

In moody red and blue light, the roller coaster is prepped to go. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is part of the Disneyland Paris for adults itinerary

 • Thrilling Rides in Walt Disney Studios

6. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force

Join Iron Man and Captain Marvel on a high-speed mission to save Earth on Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.

Your vehicle accelerates from zero to 57 mph in under 3 seconds. TOP TIP: Avoid riding right after lunch unless you have an iron stomach.

7. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Enter a haunted hotel where the elevator ride drops you from the 5th dimension—an intense experience which will make you scream in terror. Or laugh hysterically. Or probably both!

The design of the Tower of Terror is Disney Imagineering at its finest, which makes it a must-do for adults at Disneyland Paris.

Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop - an oversized toy plane sits in front of the drop ride - one of the unique attractions Disneyland Paris offers for Disney park fans

8. RC Racer

Head to Toy Story Land for a ride that is not just for kids.

On RC Racer, feel the rush of a 25-meter-high half-pipe racetrack. Tummy flutters and screams of excitement are guaranteed.

9. Toy Story Soldiers Parachute Drop

Also in Toy Story Land, experience Toy Story Soldiers Parachute Drop, as you are ‘trained’ by toys to parachute behind enemy lines.

Although it looks more thrilling from the ground, you still get a rush from the drop. So, I still rate this as a top experience for adults at Disneyland Paris. Plus, you can get great views of Walt Disney Studios.

10. Crush’s Coaster

Often mistaken for a kiddie ride because of its Finding Nemo theming, but don’t be fooled.

On Crush’s Coaster, dive into an undersea adventure. This spinning, thrilling coaster will have you whooshing through a dark, oceanic landscape. I recommend getting a Premier Pass for this popular ride as the queues are quite long.

The Disneyland Paris for adults itinerary includes this Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast Attraction. It encourages a healthy competition!

🌈 5 Best Non-Thrill Rides for Adults

Aside from the 10 thrill rides (listed above), Disneyland Paris is almost exclusively non-thrill rides. So you will have plenty of choices to enjoy Disney rides without the thrills and spills.

Here are some highlights that I don’t think Disney adults should miss:

1. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Disneyland Park

Buzz Lightyear (pictured above) is pure nostalgia and surprisingly addictive—especially for competitive adults.

Battle Zurg and try to hit 999,999 points to become a galactic hero. You’ll receive a sticker to prove it (not to mention the bragging rights).

2. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, Walt Disney Studios

In the newest attraction at Walt Disney Studios, you will be recruited by Peter Parker to stop an army of Spider-Bots from taking over the world.

On Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, use your arms to fling webs and score points; no machinery is needed. Great fun and a great workout for the biceps!

3. Phantom Manor, Disneyland Park

Become happy haunt number 1,000 in this Disney fan-favourite haunted mansion attraction. It has a story unique to Disneyland Paris.

A peaceful boat ride around the world, including this Eiffel Tower scene from France. 'it's a small world' is a perfect non-thrill experience at Disneyland Paris for adults itinerary.

4. ‘it’s a small world’, Disneyland Park

Take a peaceful boat journey through classic scenes around the world. Walt Disney’s flagship ride, ‘it’s a small world,’ (pictured above) always has a low wait.

The cuteness factor on this makes it a must-do for me.

5. Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement (Ratatouille: The Crazy Adventure), Walt Disney Studios

Board a little mouse car for a lively, spinning trip through romantic Paris.

Recently the Ratatouille Carazy Adventure ride took away the 3-D feature, and, I admit, I prefer it.

🎭 Best Shows for Adults at Disneyland Paris

Another top idea for your Disneyland Paris adult itinerary is to see a show.

Shows in Disneyland Park

  • ‘The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands’ in Disneyland Park is a grown-up acrobatic musical version of the film. It features incredible performers, stunning costumes, and unforgettable moments, making it perfect for adults.
  • If you’re anything like my mom, then the perfect Disney trip always includes a parade. In Disneyland Park catch Stars on Parade with classic Disney characters and a fire-breathing dragon.

Shows in Walt Disney Studios Park

  • If you’re travelling solo, with a partner, or with friends, you can’t miss ‘Mickey and the Magician’ at Walt Disney Studios. It’s a charming musical for Disney fans of all ages.
  • Also worth adding to your adult itinerary is ‘Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure.’ If you’re a Pixar fan, you’ll love seeing Toy Story characters, a heartfelt rendition of ‘Remember Me’ from Coco, and a beautiful scene from ‘Up.’

Best Disneyland Paris Adult Dining Options

1. Downtown, Disney Hotel New York: Art of MARVEL

My sister and I love having dinner at Downtown at Hotel New York for our Disneyland Paris adult trip.

The selection of Chinese, American and Italian food served buffet style is better than anything we’ve eaten in the parks. Downtown also has a creative dessert selection inspired by MARVEL superheroes.

2. Walt’s – An American Restaurant, Main Street

Frequently called Club 33 for anyone, Walt’s – An American Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant for Disney fans.

I reviewed Walt’s – An American Restaurant on my solo trip where I explored the 6 differently-themed rooms. The view of Main Street makes it even more magical.

3. Bistrot Chez Rémy, Walt Disney Studios

Unique to Disneyland Paris is Bistrot Chez Rémy, located in Walt Disney Studios. It is inspired by the Pixar film, ‘Ratatouille.’

The immersive theming is a charming, rat-sized world with oversized decor and simple French cuisine.

Dishes like ratatouille and other Parisian specialities are delightful for adults. I especially recommend it for couples – my husband and I had a romantic wedding anniversary meal here.

A blonde woman in a white top with pink sparkly Minnie ears (Carrie-Anne Hall) is smiling and sat at a table in PYM Kitchen Disneyland Paris with a plate of food. In her hand is a scientific testing beaker with a blue Chardonnay. A fun experience at Disneyland Paris for adults

4. PYM Kitchen, Avengers Campus

I had a hard time choosing my #5 best restaurant for adults in Disneyland Paris. There are several that are equally amazing:

  • Capt Jack’s for the incredible Caribbean atmosphere
  • Agrabah’s for the Morrocan-style décor and exotic buffet
  • Sequoia Lodge’s Hunter’s Grill for its plentiful comfort food (especially in winter)
  • Rosalie Brasserie in Disney Village for upscale seafood dishes

But, with a very slight edge, the winner is PYM Kitchen in Avengers Campus (pictured above). The overly large and strikingly small food creations are tongue-in-cheek.tongue-in-cheek. I had more than one plate of fresh pasta and still dream about it. And yes—the blue Chardonnay is weirdly delicious.

5. Auberge de Cendrillon, Fantasyland

While you wouldn’t typically think of princess dining as an adult’s priority at Disney, I recommend Auberge de Cendrillon for its grown-up, chic atmosphere.

Auberge de Cendrillon’s menu is best suited for an adult palette, and I recommend the pumpkin soup (and watch the server do a bit of magic).

➡️  Check it my full review of Auberge de Cendrillon.

🎆  Nighttime Entertainment for Disney Adults

The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. Here’s the best nighttime entertainment at Disneyland Paris.

 •  Disney Tales of Magic

Head to Central Plaza for a world-famous nighttime extravaganza that combines Disney songs, dazzling fireworks, unique drones and breathtaking projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle. OR, catch the show from Main Street USA where you can also see the incredible shop front projections.

👱🏻‍♀️ My Experience: I paid for reserved access to see this front row and highly recommend it.

 •  Walt Disney Studios

Currently, there is no nighttime entertainment at Walt Disney Studios Park, but that will change when World of Frozen is complete.

A fancy lemon martini and a light blue cocktail drink sit deliciously on a table inside the Skyline Bar - a perfect treat at Disneyland Paris for adults

Bars and Lounges

Top off your best-day-ever with a cocktail at one of the best Disneyland Paris bars and lounges.

🤓 Good to Know You can visit any hotel bar even if you’re not staying there—perfect for a little evening adventure!

 • Fleur de Lys Bar, Disneyland Hotel

Previously known as Café Fantasia, Fleur de Lys is a quiet, sophisticated bar inside Disneyland Hotel. They are known for having a large selection of champagnes and champagne cocktails.

It’s a good bar if you’re looking for a fancy location in the hotel right next to the park entrance.

 • Skyline Bar

My favourite bar at Disneyland Paris is the Skyline Bar in Hotel New York – The Art of MARVEL.

Not only is it fun conceptually with one wall as a mock window to New York City, but it also has the best selection of cocktails.

I highly recommend the rainbow of martini creations – the lemon meringue-inspired Mystic Yellow is my favourite (pictured above).

 • Redwood Bar and Lounge

Another bar I recommend for adults at Disneyland Paris is the Redwood Bar and Lounge in Disney’s Sequoia Lodge.

Its rustic, lodge-style setting with an inviting fireplace, is a tranquil (and romantic) haven after a busy day in the parks, especially around Christmas time.

 • The Sports Bar

Located in Disney Village, The Sports Bar is a lively spot to catch sports on the big screens.

They have a huge menu of beers and cocktails, and the prices are not bad for Disney. I had a lovely espresso martini for €10. And we shared a yummy Mickey pizza there, too, for €12.

🤓 GOOD TO KNOW The Sports Bar is reopening in Fall of 2025.

Unique Adult Experiences

Are you looking for more to do than rides and restaurants? Here are a few more unique ideas to put on your Disneyland Paris for adults itinerary.

 • PanoraMagique Hot Air Balloon

One of the most underrated adult experiences at Disneyland Paris is PanoraMagique — the massive helium balloon moored on Lake Disney in Disney Village (pictured above).

This 6-minute ride lifts you up to 100 m in the air (weather permitting) with 360° views across Disneyland Paris and even as far as 20 km on a clear day. Whether it’s a romantic stop on a couples’ trip or a peaceful solo escape, it’s a totally unique way to see the parks.

👉 Book online in advance to save time, and don’t forget your camera — the views at sunset are extra dreamy.

 • Behind-the-Scenes Tours

I talked about this one in my list of 10 Disneyland Paris upgrades. A VIP Tour is a fantastic way to get exclusive access to Disneyland Paris attractions and a behind-the-scenes look at the park.

 • Shopping at Disney Village

If we are in Disney for an extra day without park tickets, we love shopping in Disney Village.

The shops and boutiques in Disney Village have all the usual souvenirs and merchandise, plus unusual artwork, quirky clothing and interesting gifts.

The kiosks here have plenty of tempting treats, too, like chocolate-covered strawberries (highly recommend!).

 • Spa and Wellness Centres

In my review of the best Disneyland Paris hotels, I list out all the hotels that have pools, spas and fitness centres, including Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York: Art of MARVEL.

If you would enjoy a more relaxing adult trip to Disneyland Paris, I recommend you take some time to refresh in a hot spa, and maybe even treat yourself to a facial while you’re there.

Seasonal Events and Festivals

 •  Annual Pass Parties

While Disneyland Paris doesn’t offer adult-only events, Annual Pass parties often feel like them. The entertainment starts about 10 pm and usually carries on to 2 am with rare character appearances, musicals and fireworks you can only see on that night.

📌 Check out my post on Annual Pass Benefits.

 •  Halloween and Christmas

While any time is a good time to visit Disneyland Paris, the seasonal decorations add even more magic for adult trips.

🎃 The Halloween Festival includes decorations near Main Street and Frontierland, as well as special snacks, parades, and character appearances.

🎄Mickey’s Enchanted Christmas has a towering Christmas tree and lighting ceremony, festive shows, holiday food and even a meet-and-greet with Santa. You’re never too old to tell Santa what’s on your Christmas list!
