If you could bottle the feeling of walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in December, it would smell like cinnamon sugar, hot chocolate, and faintly singed fireworks smoke. December at Disneyland Paris is the kind of month with pure, sparkly joy (and a side of frozen toes).

By December, Christmas at Disneyland Paris is in full swing. The tree is glowing, the snow is falling (yes, real Disney snow!), and Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade is twinkling its way through the park twice daily.

This year, we’ve also got Tales of Magic taking over the nighttime skies, a brand new Mrs. Claus joining Santa for meet-and-greets, and festive touches everywhere from the castle to the corner of every cookie stand.

If you’re visiting Disneyland Paris in December 2025, here’s everything you need to know — from what to pack and what to see, to where to find the cosiest festive meal in all of Marne-la-Vallée.

What It’s Like in the Parks during December at Disneyland Paris

I’m not exaggerating: December is the main event. The moment you walk through the gates, you’ll feel that warm jolt of festive nostalgia that makes even the most cynical adult whisper, ‘Oh, wow.’

Main Street, U.S.A. becomes a snow-dusted postcard: twinkly garlands from rooftop to rooftop, golden lights (sometimes glowing through the fog!), and the goosebump-inducing jingle of Christmas tunes drifting from the speakers. Disney snow falls several times a day and it’s impossible not to grin like a five-year-old when it starts.

🎄 Disneyland Park:
Every corner looks sprinkled with pixie dust and Christmas cheer. Sleeping Beauty Castle shimmers in icy lights, and the Town Square tree glows from morning ‘til night. If you time it right, Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade will glide by just as it ‘snows.’

🎬 Walt Disney Studios Park:
Smaller-scale but still festive. Bold decorations, jazzy music, great photo ops — and perfect for strolling with a mulled wine (my fave!) or a festive snack from the pop-up chalets.

💡 Tip: The parks transform after dark. Lights bounce off cobblestones, popcorn smells intensify, and the castle looks like it’s been dipped in stardust. Don’t leave before the sun goes down!

What’s the Weather Like in December?

I can’t lie — Disneyland Paris in December is cold. We’re talking 2°C to 8°C, and occasionally lower. The mornings are crisp, the afternoons can bring drizzle, and every so often, if you’re lucky, a dusting of real snow covers the rooftops.

Bring:

• A waterproof winter coat that still looks cute in photos (priorities!)
• Thermal leggings/tights (bliss during parade waits)
• Gloves, hat, scarf — essentials, not optional
• Comfy waterproof shoes/boots (skip wellies; they’re heavy and your toes will freeze)
• Touchscreen gloves so you can film the parade without frostbite

What’s On for Christmas 2025

The Disney Enchanted Christmas season is in full swing all month. Shows, meets, entertainment — all running regularly, and both parks dressed to the nines.

🎅 Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade

Glittering floats, toy soldiers, fairy lights, and Santa’s big finale wave are all part of Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade (pictured above).

💡 Where to stand: Central Plaza for that castle backdrop, or Town Square to capture the giant tree + ‘snow.’

FAQ: Will Stars on Parade still be happening as well during Christmas season? No, I am sorry to report it won’t be returning until January 7th, 2026.

🎶 Let’s Sing Christmas!

You’ll find this merry little show tucked inside Videopolis in Discoveryland. And honestly, for me, it’s a must-do as one of the most joyful hidden gems of the season.

Mickey, Minnie, and friends take the stage in their festive best for a warm, musical celebration of all things Christmas. There are classic carols, a few Disney twists, and enough sparkle to make even the Grinch glow (on the inside at least!).

🕒 Showtimes: Let’s Sing Christmas is running daily from 8 November, with 3–4 performances per day in the afternoon and early evening (except only 2 shows on 27 November).
📍 Location: Videopolis, Discoveryland
💡 What to Expect: Upbeat songs, a cosy indoor setting (perfect for chilly afternoons!), and lots of heartwarming moments with everyone’s favourite characters.

If you’re visiting on a cold or drizzly day, this is the perfect chance to grab a snack, thaw out a little and soak up the Christmas spirit.

🎆 Tales of Magic (Night-time Fireworks & Projections)

There’s a good chance we’ll see festive overlays on Main Street like the Halloween-style projections we had earlier this year, though nothing’s been confirmed. Still, it’s magical every time (and yes, it’s 100% worth braving the cold).

⁉️ Tales of Magic FAQs

• Is it worth it with kids? Yes — if they can manage a late night. Otherwise pick one night and sleep in the next morning.
• Why watch near the castle? Because of the castle projections and fountain effects. Fireworks and drones look fine from afar; this show tells a story on the castle as well.
• Why watch on Main Street instead? It’s a brilliant alternative if you don’t fancy staking out a castle spot early. You won’t wait as long, and you’ll get a completely different angle of the show — the story is projected along the shopfronts. It’s a totally different vibe as you’re in the middle of the action!

• Can I sit on a mat? A small foam mat or collapsible stool is usually fine while you wait. Near showtime CMs clear the area and everyone must stand.

👑 Disney Princess Christmas Shows (from 15 Nov)

• Disney Princesses Holiday Celebration at Castle Stage (side of the castle): 1:00 pm or 1:15 pm
• Aurora’s Magical Wishes at Castle Courtyard (behind the castle): 2:10 pm or 2:25 pm

💫 Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics

Over in Walt Disney Studios Park, Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics has glowing spells, rooftop duels, a cheeky wink from Scarlet Witch. A perfect palate-cleanser between sugary-tinsel moments.

Currently showing in the evenings at Marvel Avengers Campus, Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics has times alternating between 6:00–6:45 pm and 7:30–8:15 pm depending on the date.

Keep an eye on the app for daily updates. This show is outdoors and occasionally pauses during bad weather.

🎄 Christmas Tree Lighting

Every evening on Town Square from 21st November 2025 catch the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: music, lights and a lot of ‘oh gawwwsh.’ You might tear up. I usually do.

Menus aren’t fully confirmed yet, but based on last year you can expect:

• Christmassy cake pops, Mickey gingerbread and suagr cookies, festive desserts
• Mulled wine, rich hot chocolate
• Savouries like tartiflette, soups and loaded fries at chalets

If you haven’t booked yet for December — honestly, don’t hang about! The Christmas season is one of the busiest times of year at Disneyland Paris, and the closer you get to the big day, the harder (and pricier) it becomes to find good availability.

🎁 Hotel + Ticket Packages

If you want the full Disney experience, I always recommend booking directly with Disneyland Paris. You’ll get all the perks — park tickets for every day of your stay, early entry (Extra Magic Time), free hotel parking, and the option to add dining plans.

That said, AttractionTickets.com is an official Disney partner and a brilliant alternative if you spot a better deal there — they often include the same park tickets and sometimes extra bonuses like gift cards or photo passes.

🎫 Standalone Park Tickets

If you’ve already sorted your hotel (maybe you’re staying nearby or off-site), I recommend buying your park tickets through AttractionTickets.com. They’re official Disney partners, and they usually have the same pricing as Disney direct — usually even cheaper — plus you can add your tickets to the DLP app and head straight to the gates.

1. Midweek breaks in early December often have lower prices and lighter crowds. You’ll still get all the festive fun without quite so many elbows during the parade.

2. No matter where you book your Christmas at Disneyland Paris package, the best deals are for early bookings — so it’s worth checking what’s live right now before the price jumps. The price rarely ever comes down.

New Year’s Eve at Disneyland Paris (Quick Note)

We’re still waiting on official 2025 info. Last year featured an after-hours party with midnight fireworks, DJs, rare characters and confetti showers. It’s one of the most electric nights of the year.

⭐ Extra Tips for a Brilliant December Visit

Last year, I spent three days at Disneyland Paris on a solo Christmas trip. Part work, part pure festive indulgence, and it turned into one of my favourite visits ever. So, after more winters here than I can count (and at least three pairs of frozen toes), these are the little things I’ve learned that make a huge difference to your December trip:

• Warm drinks = survival. Consider bringing a hot drinks bottle (I’ve got this Contigo flask) and refill often. I’d also recommend bringing your English tea bags as they can be scare in France.
• Arrive early for parades and shows — Christmas crowds gather fast.
• Premier Access really helps if you’re visiting on weekends and in Christmas week. Buy individual passes for the worst queues.
• Use the DLP app for queue times and show schedules.
• Plan breaks (especially with kids). Cold + excitement = sudden tired tears. If you don’t have time to take a break at your hotel, try watching the films in the Videopolis Theatre. Or, go see PhilharMagic. It hardly ever has a queue and will give you a chance to warm up and rest your legs.
• Stay after dark. The lights + ‘snow’ make it feel like a storybook.
